1. You can use the MOUSE or TAB & ENTER keys to select any item from the top menu bar.
  2. The PICTURES & NEWS selections will have sub menus.
  3. Some of the NEWS selections will have another sub menu.
  4. If you wish to select a NEWS item # that is outside the screen window:
    1. click on NEW TREND NEWS part of the menu bar
    2. use the TAB key to select the news item #
  5. Selecting the * on the NEWS menu will toggle between the headings listed in UPDATE order or ALPHABETICAL order.
  6. Putting the MOUSE over the DATE & TIME on the top menu bar will show the current time on the STATUS BAR.
  7. If the STATUS BAR does not appear at the bottom of your window :
    1. MOUSE: click on VIEW on the top window menu bar, then click STATUS BAR.
    2. KEYS: press the "V" key while holding the ALT key, then press the B key.
  8. To maximize the window size in IE (Internet Explorer):
    1. MOUSE: click on the middle small box in the top right hand corner of the window.
    2. KEYS: press the SPACEBAR while holding the ALT key, then press the "X" (Maximize) key.
  9. Once the window is maximized, you may press the "F11" key to make the TOP MENU, EXPLORER, ADDRESS, & STATUS bars disappear to give more room for the website to be displayed.
  10. Pressing the "F11" key again will make the bars return.
TO DOWNLOAD A STORY
  1. You can use the MOUSE to click on the story, make sure it is not on a link.
  2. Press the V key or click on View Source
  3. press the F key while holding the ALT key, then press the A key
    OR
    click on File, then click on Save As
  4. type in the [path] name that you want it saved under, save as type Text Documents
TO DELETE IE TEMPORARY FILES
  1. Close all IE windows,
    1. MOUSE: click on the middle small x in the top right hand corner of the window.
    2. KEYS: press the F4 key while holding the ALT key.
  2. Press or click on the START key
    1. MOUSE: click on Shortcut to my Computer.
    2. KEYS: use the arrow keys to go to Shortcut to my Computer, then press the ENTER key.
  3. Select Control Panel
    1. MOUSE: click on Control Panel.
    2. KEYS: use the arrow keys to go to Control Panel, then press the ENTER key.
  4. Select Internet Options
    1. MOUSE: click on Internet Options.
    2. KEYS: use the arrow keys to go to Internet Options button, then press the ENTER key.
  5. Under General on Internet Properties page
    1. MOUSE: click on Delete Files,
      click on Delete all offline content,
      click on OK button.
    2. KEYS: press the F key while holding the ALT key,
      press the SPACEBAR key while holding the CTL key,
      press the ENTER key.
TO DELETE INTERNET HISTORY
  1. Follow the 1st 4 steps under TO DELETE IE TEMPORARY FILES.
  2. Select Clear History on Internet Properties page
    1. MOUSE: click on Clear History.
    2. KEYS: press the H key while holding the ALT key, then press the ENTER key.
  3. Select OK on Internet Options page
    1. MOUSE: click on OK.
    2. KEYS: use the TAB keys to go to OK button, then press the ENTER key.
TO DELETE COOKIES
  1. Follow the 1st 4 steps under TO DELETE IE TEMPORARY FILES.
  2. Select Settings page
    1. MOUSE: click on Settings.
    2. KEYS: press the S key while holding the ALT key.
  3. Select View Files page
    1. MOUSE: click on View Files.
    2. KEYS: press the V key while holding the ALT key.
  4. Select & delete all cookies
    1. MOUSE: click on Edit, click on Select All, click on File, click on Delete, click on yes.
    2. KEYS: press the A key while holding the CTL key, press the F key while holding the ALT key, press the D key, press the Y key.
TO DELETE PLUG INS
  1. Follow the 1st 2 steps under TO DELETE COOKIES.
  2. Select View Objects page
    1. MOUSE: click on View Objects.
    2. KEYS: press the O key while holding the ALT key.
  3. Select & delete the unwanted plug ins.
