OUR AMERICA:

Keith Ellison Compares Bush to Hitler but Supports Zionists!

Thinking ability is quite rare among American politicians. Keith Ellison, who is supposedly Muslim and African-American, is no exception. In mid-July [2007] he tried to prove that he is no wimp. He took the trouble to compare Bush to Hitler, with reference to Bush's violations of civil and human rights of Americans.

When one says that Bush is like Hitler, at the most it can mean that one hates Bush [which is not difficult to do in a country where about 70% of the citizens disapprove of Bush's policies]. It also means that one is trying to prove that one has a tough stance on civil rights.

But is the comparison apt and can it be sustained among educated people? Let's look at some facts on which all would agree:

Hitler had no Jews in his cabinet! [Bush's war cabinet was full of elite Jews and he had the support of Jews. Surely Ellison has heard of Wolfowitz, Perle, and Feith. Does he not have enough memory left to remember that the war initiative was spread among the public by the New York Times, though now it has become, very conveniently anti-war, and its outstanding journalist Judith Miller? On the Right, Krauthammer played a pro-war role second only to Judith Miller. Hiding within the Democratic Party was "Joe" Lieberman who too played a key pro-war role.]
Hitler was seen as a friend by the Palestinians and he in turn honored the top Palestinian Islamic authority Mufti Amin al-Husseini.
Bush is more like Sharon who used the Phalangists to massacre the Palestinians in Sabra and Shatilla. Now Bush has used General Musharraf to slaughter innocent Muslim youth, men and women, in Jamia Hafsa and Lal Masjid. [When will Ellison condemn the Bush-Mush attack on the women's university and the Red Mosque?]
Ellison can best be described as a "Muslim" Zionist. He supports Israel to such an extent that Jewish Americans chose him over a Republican Jew! Few can compare with Ellison in his support for Israel. He did the unthinkable for a Muslim: Started his campaign from a synagogue.
Hitler died in 1945. It's a Zionist ploy to keep using him as a symbol 62 years later. He never oppressed Africa or the Muslim world. By contrast, Bush invaded Iraq, which has resulted in 655,000 Iraqi deaths, has bombed Somalia and undermined Sudan. Bush with NATO is in Afghanistan where the U.S. air force routinely bombs Afghan villages killing hundreds every month. Bush supports Israel to the extent that he completely negated DEMOCRACY itself, a basic American value, by opposing the election victory of Hamas in Gaza.
So Ellison should be comparing Bush to Olmert, Sharon, Begin and should call him a Zionist. That's not going to happen because Ellison himself is a Zionist, that is one who considers Israel a legitimate entity and not a terrorist colonialist force.

Challenging Imam Jamil's Prison Conditions

On Friday, July 13, 2007, the Imam was moved out of K4 to K3. Again, he extends his appreciation to the many callers who protested his conditions. His supporters will still continue to challenge his overall segregation conditions with the Department of Corrections in Atlanta, and will provide updates as they occur.

Ramsey Clark Opposes Mubarak's Violation of Basic Rights

Egypt military trial condemned

CAIRO: Former US attorney general Ramsey Clark yesterday condemned the military trials of members of Egypt's opposition Muslim Brotherhood and called on President Hosni Mubarak to release them.
"The arrest and detention once again of the Muslim Brotherhood is an outrageous violation of fundamental human rights," Clark, 79, told reporters at the Egyptian Bar Association a day after being barred from attending the trial.
"I've been in political trials on six continents... I have never been excluded from a court in any of these trials," he said.
"What does the government of Egypt fear? What is it ashamed of doing that it can't do in broad daylight as the law requires?"
Clark led a delegation of rights activists that included former Sunday Express British journalist turned Islamic activist Yvonne Ridley to Sunday's session of the military trial of 40 leading Brotherhood activists.
Together with a court observer from Amnesty International, the delegation was barred from entering the court which is on a military base.
The Brotherhood members have been charged with funding an illegal organisation and money-laundering — charges they were originally acquitted from in a civil court.
Over the past 10 years, Mubarak's government has repeatedly relied on military tribunals, which have a more consistent rate of conviction, to try Islamist organisations.
The latest crackdown on the Muslim Brotherhood, which while banned holds a fifth of the seats in parliament, began last December and has targeted the organisation's funding mechanisms, freezing the assets and arresting prominent businessmen associated with the movement.
"I ask the government and President Mubarak to recognise the error of what they have done and to embrace these defendants as worthy Muslims and release them," Clark said.
An attorney general in the 1960s, Clark went on to become an anti-war activist and has joined the defence teams at a number of high profile trials, including that of former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussain and Egyptian cleric Omar Abdel Rahman. – AFP

Background Study

Israel, USA Attempts to Legitimize the Abbas Clique & Strangle Hamas

by Edward Miller, San Rafael, California [Exclusive to New Trend]

[Dr. Miller's research on Israel's control of U.S. policies has few equals. Ed.]

" It would be almost politically suicidal for members of Congress to espouse a balanced position between Israel and Palestine, to suggest that Israel comply with international law or to speak in defense of justice or human rights for Palestinians."

Ex-President Jimmy Carter

This June, peoples of the Middle East. with mixed feelings quietly recall the 40th anniversary of Israel's 1967, " Six-Day War." The speed and scope of Israel's 1967 campaign were devastating to the Arabs, who had expected victory. Egypt, Jordan, and Syria lost almost all of their air forces and much of their armed weaponry. About 10,000 Egyptian soldiers were killed in the Sinai and Gaza alone, compared with 300 Israeli casualties on that front. In all, Egypt lost about 11,000 troops, Jordan lost about 6000, Syria lost about 1000, and Israel lost 700. As a result, Arab leaders endured loss of popularity at home while Israel's international prestige increased.

Today, 40 years later, their Sinai returned, Egyptians live in a tightly-controlled state with Mohammed Hosni Mubarak as president. Mubarak keeps some 70,000 of the rival Muslim Brotherhood in prison. Many Egyptians recall the nationalist pride they once enjoyed under Nassar.

Today's Jordanians, whose grandfathers remind them that their land once comprised 76% of the original Palestine Mandate, (Transjordan ). now survive in a tiny country with few resources, since, in the '67 War, the Israeli army pushed them east over the Jordan River. Their King Abdullah tightly controls a population stretched to its economic limits by Palestinian refuges who were dispossessed in both the '48 and '67 wars.

The Syrians, who, in '67 lost the Golan Heights to Israel, still mourn for their 120,000 once- prosperous farmers who once tilled that most fertile soil in the Middle East, and supplied agricultural products throughout the region and abroad.

The Palestinians, of course lost everything, including their UN-promised capital in East Jerusalem. Today they exist, either as second-class citizens in Israel proper, or, as ex-President Jimmy Carter reported in his recent book, as prisoners in the tightly-controlled bantustans of apartheid Occupied West Bank, or Gaza prison. Isolated by Sharon's still-expanding wall with its over 700 "checkpoints," Palestinians experience hourly delays and degrading insult by a surly Israeli military who regularly hold up ambulances with patients seeking urgent care in Israeli hospitals, often requiring Palestinian women in labor to crawl out and deliver on the ground. More than 68 pregnant Palestinian women had to give birth at Israeli checkpoints during the last six years, leading to 34 miscarriages and the death of four ...

Today, an increasingly-frantic Bush, his political hands , held tight in an Israeli grip, spouts: "Democracy, Democracy" but can't decide how to handle a democratically-elected Hezbullah Party in Lebanon or democratically-elected Hamas Party in Palestine. The PLO under Arafat was under the control of the Washington/ Israeli Axis, and the PLO's stepchild Fatah, today under Abbas is similarly-controlled.

Washington, encouraged by Ohlmert's party in Israel has successfully arranged a civil war between Fatah and the duly-elected Hamas Party...The infighting in the last two weeks has claimed over 141 lives, and has forced most of Fatah's militias from Gaza. Israel, in response, shut down the Gaza economy, starving the Gaza Palestinians. Other steps taken by the Washington/Israeli axis include: millions of dollars sent to Mahmoud Abbas, along with arms and attempts to strangle the nascent Palestinian democracy by setting up a puppet regime in the cities of the West Bank with appointments by Mahmoud Abbas. To make matters worse, the Zionist media both in the Mideast and the West, have unleashed a spate of propaganda to demonize Islamic Gaza. Those regimes which can be counted to walk in step with the Washington/Israeli Axis: Hosni Mubarak [Egypt], King Abdullah [Jordan], King Abdullah ["Saudi" Arabia] support Abbas, though their peoples, for the most part are sympathetic to the Palestinians.

Abbas' hands are not clean. He named Salam Fayyad to replace his rival Ismail as head of the Fatah militias in the West Bank. Fayyad has been involved in drug-running ( Flashpoint, 19 June 2007, KALW)

While AIPAC and our Jewish-controlled media constantly refer to Hamas as well as Hezbullah as "terrorist organizations" Europeans in general who have access to many more newspapers and a freer media, have a different view of the Mideast and Washington's subservience to the Zionist lobby.

As reported in December 2004: Last week in a poll some 7,000 Europeans were asked to pick, from a list of 15 countries, those which represented the greatest threats to world peace. Chosen for first place by the vast majority of those interviewed was Israel with the United States a close second. "

Amongst the U.S. media, Fox News, CNN and MSNBC constantly repeat Washington's designation of Hamas as a "Terrorist Organization," while reminding Americans that Hamas "refuses to recognize Israel." Mideast expert and columnist Robert Fisk recently responded to this propaganda thus: " No one asked - on our side - which particular Israel Hamas was supposed to recognize. The Israel of 1948? The Israel of the post-1967 borders? The Israel which builds - and goes on building - vast settlements for Jews and Jews only on Arab land, gobbling up even more of the 22 per cent of "Palestine" still left to negotiate over ? Fisk adds: " And so today, we are supposed to talk to our faithful policeman, Mr. Abbas, the "moderate," a "leader" we can trust because he wears a tie and goes to the White House and says all the all the right things? "

As for recognizing Israel, the entire Arab League, as well as the Hamas leadership, on several occasions have stated that all their members would recognize Israel as a trading partner and political equal as soon as Israel gets back behind the 1967 green line, gives up the illegal settlements, and returns East Jerusalem to the Palestinians as their rightful capital. To date, Israel has refused.

Though American Jews brag that "Israel is the only democracy in the Mideast," under Zionism Israel has assumed many of the characteristics of an apartheid state, along with the trappings of a fascist foreign policy, with her military seizures of neighboring land, "extrajudicial assassination, " subjugation of other peoples.

Back in 1948 when Menachem Begin first introduced his "Freedom Party" to American Jews, Albert Einstein and other prominent Jews wrote this full-page warning letter in the New York Times:
"Among the most disturbing political phenomena of our time is the emergence in the newly created State of Israel, of the Freedom Party...a political party closely akin in its organization, methods, political philosophy and social appeal to the Nazi and Fascist parties. It was formed out of the membership and following of the former Irgun Zvai Leumi, a terrorist right-wing chauvinist organization...This is the unmistakable stamp of a Fascist party for whom terrorism (against Jews, Arabs and British alike) and misrepresentation are the means and a "Leader State " is the goal."

Begin's Freedom Party later morphed into the Likud, where many of whose members embraced the growing Zionist ideology.

Jewish writer Yeshayahu Leibowitz, now deceased, wrote in his 1992 book: Judaism, Human Values and the Jewish State:
" We call the acts of the Palestinians "terrorism" and their fighters "terrorists," but we are able to rule over the rebellious people only by acts regarded by the world as criminal. We refer to this as "policy" rather than "terror" because it is conducted by a duly constituted government and its regular army... Already today, the State of Israel, to which most of the world's nations were once sympathetic, has earned contempt and hatred throughout the world. Its very existence has come to depend on a thin lifeline stretching from the White House. Above all, the State which was to be the pride and glory of the Jewish people is rapidly becoming an embarrassment to them."

A few weeks ago many American Jewish groups met in cities across this country to discuss "The New Anti-Semitism." It must be evident to any ten-year old schoolboy, that with increasing access to the internet, Americans are now reaching beyond our Jewish-controlled media to grasp the daily degree of violence, killing and utter depravity which for years has marked Israel's oppression of her Palestinians.

Bush writes to Kadhafi to push for closer ties

TRIPOLI (AFP) - US President George W. Bush has written to Libyan leader Moamer Kadhafi calling for the development of ties between Washington and its one-time foe, the official JANA news agency said on Tuesday.

The message was handed to Kadhafi by Bush's homeland security advisor Frances Townsend during a visit to Libya.

"We've accomplished a lot through the return of relations between the United States of America and the Great Jamahiriya (Libya)... I think our peoples have benefited from the development that is witnessed by these relations," JANA quoted the letter as saying.

It said Bush expressed his desire to "develop and consolidate" relations with the one-time pariah state.

JANA said Bush described as an "historical and brave measure" Libya's decision to end programmes which could result in weapons of mass destruction.

Diplomatic ties between Washington and Tripoli were restored in June 2004 after almost a quarter of a century, following Kadhafi's announcement in December 2003 he was abandoning ambitions to build such weapons.

Townsend arrived in Tripoli late on Monday, two days before Libya's supreme court is due to deliver its verdict on an appeal by six foreign medics on death row. The six were convicted of infecting hundreds of children with the AIDS virus. Fifty-six have died.

The case has sparked mounting criticism from the United States and European Union and hindered Libya's efforts at rapprochement with the West. Last month, during a visit to Bulgaria, Bush appealed for the release of the medics, five of whom are Bulgarian and the sixth who has been granted citizenship.

Relations between Libya and the European Union have also been strained over the 1988 Lockerbie bombing for which a former Libyan secret agent was convicted. A total of 270 people died in the bombing.

Tripoli has promised "more flexibility" in its relations with Brussels after the agent, Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed al-Megrahi, was allowed to appeal against his life prison sentence.
