Palestinian scholar Dr. Ismail Zayid has sent us proof of Zionist Racism in its own words: Scroll way down

A writer quotes Islamic texts to raise the question: Did the Prophet, pbuh, pray Taraweeh prayers? Also, are sects allowed in Islam? Paid imams? Scroll all the way down.

Press Release: Jamaat al-Muslimeen notes with horror the U.S. government's attempts to strip search Dr. 'Aafia Siddiqui when she is brought to court. On September 5, her arraignment was put off to September 22 when she refused to be strip searched before being brought to court.
Strip searching in American prisons routinely includes "search" of human cavities We urge all Muslim groups, human rights groups around the world, as well as women's organizations, to protest to U.S. embassies and Bush regime representatives. Readers might remember that Imam Jamil al-Amin protested against strip searches and as a result was placed in solitary confinement for a whole year. Before that Dr. Omar 'Abdel Rahman [the Blind Shaikh] resisted strip search and was severely mistreated by the prison administration which led to protests in the Muslim world.
Strip searches and search of cavities is a form of rape and Muslim prisoners can never accept it. Here we have a highly educated Muslim woman being subjected to this humiliating procedure. Zionism has taken away all sense of decency from the U.S. "Justice" system. Hitler never treated the Jews thus.

Muslims should Run, Walk and Eat Less
Letter: Re: Correction on hijabi Bahraini woman at the Olympics. New Trend wrote:
"We stand corrected; still it was a great achievement to have reached the olympics. We encourage Muslims to walk and run and eat less. That is the Sunnah."

Shukran for printing the correction. As a former sprinter, field and track coach, and official for almost 40 years, I can fully appreciate the accomplishments of this sister. She barely missed the final, and with a few adjustment to her training regimen, inshaAllah we will see her, and others ( 4x1 and 4x4 )in the next world games and olympics.

Dr. Mulazimuddin Rasool [Massachusetts]

New Trend urges all Muslims who are not physically incapacitated to walk and run. We have the best examples to follow. Ayesha, r.a., and Muhammad, pbuh, used to race each other. [Earlier Ayesha, r.a., being much younger used to win. Later, he started winning. See authentic Hadith] Also, Muhammad, pbuh, walked all the way to Taif from Makka. Later he and Abu Bakr, r.a., made the hijra on foot from Makkah to Madina. This is the Sunnah. Where are the Muslims?

Q and A: What Does Islam say about Love?

An article by Dr. Kaukab Siddique titled "Does Islam Allow Muslim Men To Marry Non-Muslim Women in America?" was posted on a personal blog and received many visitors. One questioner complained that she was going to accept Islam and marry a Muslim but it didn't happen because his parents intervened. She wants to know: Isn't love important and she expressed grave sorrow for her lost love.

Response by Dr. Kaukab Siddique

Ms..... has raised a question which is central to human life. What is love and what does Islam say about it? She also mentions family interference which stopped the process started in her life by love.

We must begin by accepting the fact that we are given the ability to love by a higher power, Allah [or God for Christians]. Without unimpaired physical, mental, spiritual and emotional health, we would not be able to love. A great Muslim theologian, Muhammad al-Ghazzali, gives a metaphor to explain the way love works. On a hot day, when we take refuge in the shade, we are pleased not only with the shade but are thankful for the trees which provide the shade.[1]

Thus Allah is the source of love. If our love is limited to beings other than Allah, we are very liable to be disappointed. Why? Simply because all that humans have is limited and is steadily passing and withering away. Then one day we are faced with the prospect of leaving this world and going to another level of existence about which we know nothing if we do not love Allah.

Allah, however, is not an idol or a limited being who can be loved the way humans love other humans. He is beyond our limited understanding; so he helps us to understand love and how and whom to love. To love Allah, we must love his creation, in particular human beings. If we do not love humans, our claims of loving Allah are not acceptable to Allah Almighty. We must love not only all humans but all of Allah's creatures, from the birds in the sky to the ants in the earth.

Among the best of God's creatures are those whom He selected to Guide humans, the most prominent of whom are Abraham, Hajira, Moses, Asya, Jesus, Mary, Muhammad and 'Ayesha [may Allah bless them all]. The final and perfected message of all of these Guides was brought by Muhammad, peace be on him. If we want to love Allah, we must love Muhammad, peace be on him, and through him all the others who preceded him. [2]

If our love of Allah is established and clear, then we'll easily see whom to select as spouse for our special personal and sexual love.

We live in a time and age when Islam is gradually but steadily resurgent. Among the new generations of Muslims there are increasingly larger numbers of young people who see their personal happiness as linked to love of Allah and acceptance of the Way [Sunnah] of Muhammad, pbuh. However, there is powerful resistance to this resurgence from the established feudal, military and westernized sections of Muslim societies. For them, their aristocracies are more important than Islam. They often marry their children to cousins to keep their wealth within their families and to keep their racial-family lines [genes] "pure." They, in particular, want to evade the the property rights which Islam gives to women.

Islam does encourage great respect for mothers and fathers and supports the family system, but it does not permit parents to shape the lives of married couples.
In the choice of spouses, parents play a very important role but it is an advisory role. The final choice has to be made by the two who want to get married. Islam teaches that the virgin who knows little of the world should have a wali to advise her so that she may not be entrapped by a clever man. However, in the final choice, the bride must choose freely and without any pressure of any kind.
In all issues related to spousal life, the married couple is commanded by Islam to seek guidance from the Qur'an and the Sunnah, not from parents or relatives. In fact in husband-wife relationships, there is no role for parents and siblings other than that of compassion and caring. Interference is allowed only when there is clear oppression and violation of Islamic Law. Even in divorce, the Qur'an says:

"... Wives have rights similar to those of husbands according to what is equitable...." [The Qur'an 2:228], the only difference being that women have to wait for a fixed time before remarriage while men don't have to, and thus men have a "degree" of advantage for biological reasons.

Prophet Muhammad, pbuh, commanded: "Surely you have a right over women, just as women have a right over you." [Hadith, Sunan of Tirmidhi.]
Husbands should not be taking personal, sexual, matters to ANYONE outside the bedroom:

"On the Day of Judgment, terrible will be the situation of a man who goes [sexually] to his wife, or of a woman who goes to her husband, and then spread the secrets of their personal life, outside." [Hadith of Muhammad, pbuh, Sahih Muslim]

Without acceptance of the Will of Allah by both men and women, marriage cannot be successful and should not be carried out.

In conclusion, the four types of love human beings feel are summarized by Imam Ghazzali thus:
i. Natural love which we have for children, parents and siblings/relatives.
ii. Sensual or physical desire which is animalistic and is the result of sexual drives and is aroused by the physical shape and form of the object of love.
iii. Love based on reason and understanding, such as the love one has for poetry or other aesthetically pleasing objects and for morally exalted behavior. This is the highest limit of human love outside Islam.
iv. Islamic love which is rooted in the love of Allah and his Messenger, pbuh, and prepares one for the Hereafter. Prophet Muhammad, pbuh, taught repeatedly that in Paradise you will be with the ones you love. [These are the Pure Companions of Paradise repeatedly referred to in the Qur'an.] [3]

1. Imam Muhammad al-Ghazzali, died 1111 c.e. in Baghdad, the greatest theologian of Islam, wrote the best discussion of LOVE in all of Islamic literature. See his Ihya Ulum-id-Deen, volume 4 available in Urdu and English translation.
Allama Iqbal, the Poet-Philosopher of the East, died c.e. 1938, has some of the most powerful expression of the meaning of the highest form of love, ISHQ, in his verses about Self and Selflessness.

2. "And among people are those who take others than Allah as equals to Him. They love them as they should love Allah. But those who believe are stronger in love for Allah..." [The Qur'an 2:165]

3. The Prophet, pbuh, asked his daughter Fatima, r.a., "Do you love me?" She replied: "Yes." "Then," he said, pointing to 'Ayesha, r.a., "love the one I love." [Hadith, Sunan of Nasai.]

The blogger [name withheld] also gave good advice to the complainant in these words:
"Allah SWT has made you true to your ‘fitra' which is the innate sense of purity and belief in our Creator that Allah SWT puts in our hearts.
It seems that even though you were ready to embrace Islam, your in- laws (to be) objected on a weak account. As far as I can remember Allah SWT says that ‘we have made links in marriages' (across clans and tribes) (please check the post of the ideal marriage part I or II for the accurate reference).
I think in your circumstances, this was more a matter of cultural bias, or a desire to control ones offspring.
Prophet Muhammad PBUH's parents were not Muslims, and can anyone doubt his faith or his (PBUH) being a messenger sent as a mercy to mankind?
Belief in the unseen is essential for emaan, because Allah SWT tells us the concept of accountability in Akhirah and yet it is an Unseen concept.
Inshallah, you will find yourself closer to Allah SWT if you go to your local mosque and take Shahadah and ask Allah SWT to find you a suitable and loving mate in whose heart Allah SWT has put love, respect and mercy for you.
Perhaps you will find someone who will be better for you in the long run, Allah knows what is best for you and sometimes He (SWT) withholds from you what you like, because it may be harmful for you in the long run and because you cannot look into the future.
So hasten to take Shahadah and Allah's mercy and Rahmah will shower upon you, Inshallah!
Ameen
ps Do keep us updated of the good new:)

SWT stands for subhanahu wa ta'ala. We urge writers NOT to use this short hand. Allah's name is blessed enough in itself.

Nayyar Zaidi's Case: Vendetta Against a Veteran Journalist?

Jamaat al-Muslimeen is deeply concerned that Nayyar Zaidi's case is not being discussed by the Pakistani and U.S. media. It looks like this outspoken, veteran journalist has been trapped by intelligence agencies out to silence him. He is languishing in an Ohio prison. Even his own paper in Pakistan, the daily Jang, is silent. This seems to be a case of victimization of a writer seen as a muckraker. [More later.]

Nigerian Impression of the International Islamic Conference of August 16 in Baltimore

Salaaams to you dear Dr Sidique!

I should start by thanking you for inviting me to the peace conference, JazakAllah! Although I was late due to transporation issues, I was bent on getting there and I enjoyed every bit of it. May the glory of this blessed month bring us all a countless mercies. May Allah especially continue to grant you more strength and energy as you continue to strive for this Ummah. And may this year be an even better year for NewTrend and the Ummah as a whole. My greetings to your wife and family. Wasalam alaekum!

Continuing Outreach in Baltimore: Jamaat al-Muslimeen Rejects Recognition of Israel, Condemns Pakistani Bombing in Bajaur and Swat

September 5, 2008: An eight page document was given to 75 people after Friday prayers at a masjid in northeastern Baltimore which is largely attended by Arab Muslims with a sprinkling of Pakistanis. Ten of the recipients were women.

The brochure listed the resolutions passed by Jamaat al-Muslimeen's Shoora at the conclusion of the August 16 International Conference for peace. One of the resolutions urged Palestinians to reject the so-called Two State solution and to unite against Israel. Other resolutions supported the new uprising of Kashmiris against Indian occupation and condemned the mass exodus of cvilians from Bajaur and Swat after extensive attacks by the U.S.-backed Pakistani air force and heavy artillery.

The Shoora is also demanding that ALL Islamic political prisoners in U.S. prisons, including Dr. Aafia Siddiqui, the Blind Shaikh [Dr. Omar 'Abdel Rahman], Ahmed Abdel Sattar , Imam Jamil al-Amin and Dr. Ali Timimi be released because their trials are bogus.

Canadian Response to the August 16 Peace Conference

Greetings Dr. Kaukab Siddique,

Thank you for inviting me to the Conference. I enjoyed my stay in Baltimore and appreciate the effort that you and the other members made to ensure that I arrived and departed safely. I came away impressed with the work that you are doing in the community. I had the opportunity to meet several people who I will remain in contact with. I have read your online magazine and will share the information with people in Toronto.

JAM Gets Gift of Valuable Books and DVD about Israel and Christian Zionism

Jamaat al-Muslimeen thanks Tom Compton who came to the International Islamic Peace conference all the way from Arizona. He donated an entire box filled with copies of a book titled One Nation Under Israel by Andrew Hurley, 310 pages. It's a well produced, documented and educational book which explains in unanswerable detail how the Israelis took over America.

Mr. Compton also gave us a DVD of Charles Carlson's work titled: "The Roots of Christian Zionism." It explains, in part, how the Zionists tampered with the Bible to justify the occupation of Palestine.

We have distributed some of the books and tapes already. We are willing to send them free to readers in exchange for a small donation to cover postage and handling. Send to: Jamaat al-Muslimeen, POB 10881, Baltimore, MD 21234

Book Review
THE BOOK ON THE WAR AGAINST IRAQ

by Husayn Al-Kurdi [San Diego, California]

The history of the US war against Iraq has been written. It is titled "The Mother of All Battles" (ISBN # 978-0-976-3366-1-7, available from:
The Alternative
8130 La Mesa Blvd., PMB 436
La Mesa, CA 91941
USA
plus $6.95 postage and handling U.S.: $12.95 outside U.S
written by the redoubtable Jeff Archer, also known as cyber blogger Malcom Lagauche.

Many English-language volumes have been produced purporting to be an account of US-led depredations against Iraq. None has taken the side of the Iraqi people and their government. None have accurately reported the extent of Iraqi suffering and the ways and means devised to bring about the genocide and subjugation of that land and its people. None have given a positive account of the Ba'ath and the Resistance led by it, something almost never mentioned anywhere in the "media", which turn out to be mouthpieces for the war party and may more accurately be described as "repeaters" rather than as "reporters".

Archer is a throwback: he is not a repeater but he is one of the outstanding investigative reporters, journalists and commentators of our time. He writes a column every few days on his web-site to constantly re=prove this point. He has actually investigated his subject, cross-checking facts and tracking down sources of information in the course of a rigorous hunt for the truth. To top it all off, he presents his findings in a clear, conversational style which keeps the reader turning the page and results in torrents of gratitude coming his way from many readers whose media-shut eyes have been opened as a result of his labors.

This book tells the whole story of the US war against Iraq. It is a piece of reportage which is definitive in coverage and unambiguous in its findings. He traces the spoliation and destruction directed against Iraq to the advent of the Arab Ba'ath Socialist Party and its now-martyred leader Saddam Hussein and the social progress, independent and anti-Imperialist, pro-Arab liberation government and society it struggled to create, and did create until the Jewish "neo-cons" and others had their way and ordered its destruction. As one-time Secretary of State Madeleine Albright said,"It was worth it", when informed of the murder of over a million Iraqi women and children as a result of the brutal "sanctions" policy imposed on it by the Jewish and USA-controlled UN System.

The whole story of the Iran-Iraq war, the 1991 war to "free Kuwait", the 12 years of blockade and sabotage that ensued, and finally the criminal invasion and occupation of Iraq from 2003 to the present, are herein told authoritatively, from the "inside" and with all the references attached for those who would claim scholarship in the field. No reputable library, whether public, scholastic or private, should be without it. No serious course in any way related to the Middle East, Criminal Justice, US Foreign Policy, International Relations and Law, Contemporary History, the Arab world or Islam can overlook it, unless they want to adopt the hegemonic "repeater" line praising the invader and denigrating the occupied land and its inhabitants.

Besides the excellent historical narrative, the book is sumptuously illustrated with original photographs. In one of them, Chicago-based journalist Ali Baghdadi is examining an American missile which has just struck the al-Rashid Hotel in downtown Baghdad. The appendices form a historical record which buttresses the text, including such items as the transcript of the pre-1991 invasion meeting between Saddam Hussein and American Ambassador April Glaspie, information on the Iranian activities which led to the Iran-Iraq war, an outline of the "bargains and offers" refused by Saddam Hussein during his captivity, interview of Iraqis held at Abu Ghraib prison and evidence from a US Marine Corps report showing that IRAN gas-bombed the Kurdish village of Halabja, not Iraq as was widely "repeated".

Jeff takes us inside the Ba'ath and gives us a true picture of Saddam Hussein as revolutionary and resistance leader, thinker and fighter. He gives us details on the burning of wheat fields, the unleashing of insects and the injection of vast amounts of counterfeit currency into Iraq. He takes us on the "Highway of Death" as countless Iraqis and others are massacred as they attempt to flee in 1991 and we are told of the one-shot murder of a thousand civilians in an air-raid shelter at Amiriyah in Baghdad. Jeff takes us back in history and shows the genocidal continuity if US policies, with their origins in the extermination of the "Indians" of North America.

This is contemporary history as it should be written, by a highly skilled, courageous and conscientious writer, fearlessly bent on digging out the facts and letting the consequences speak for themselves. No literate, thinking person who cares about Iraq or the fate of the world should be without this book, to read through and to constantly refer to as the definitive source on its subject, which is the front line today of the global war against the "globalizers" and their vicious system.

WAR NEWS: Pakistan Violates Ramadan

4th U.S. Attack inside Pakistan while U.S.-backed Pak troops attack Islamic villages from Within: Heavy Retaliation near Peshawar

September 8, 2008: As we go to the press, U.S. forces in Afghanistan launched 7 missiles across the border into Pakistani villages near Miranshah in North Waziristan. Numerous civilians were killed and wounded in the attacks. Among the targets hit were the medressa [Islamic school] and home of Jalaluddin Haqqani, the elderly resistance leader who became famous during the Soviet occupation. His son says that he was in Afghanistan when the missiles hit and thus survived.

September 3: The most audacious U.S. attack was on the Pakistani village of Jalal Khei in South Waziristan. Four U.S. helicopters landed in the village at 3 AM and hit homes where Taliban fighters were allegedly living. Numerous civilians were killed in the attack but the ostensible Taliban targets were missed.

Meanwhile from within Pakistan, the U.S.-armed and funded military forces commanded by General Kayani continued to assault Islamic villages in Bajaur, Swat and Darra Adam Khel. Between Sept. 3-8, tanks, heavy artillery and helicopter gunships were used by the Pak military to pound villages suspected of supporting Islamic resistance. The people, with few exceptions, are supporting the Pakistani Taliban. As a result, ALL of Swat, Pakistan's scenic tourist area, has been placed under curfew.

On September 7, in Swat's Kubl area, Taliban fighters opened heavy fire on the army camp and police station set up in the area. In response the Pak army opened heavy artillery fire which hit civilian homes. In one such tragedy, a woman was killed in her home alng with two children, 12 people were injured. In the Kuza Bandi area people are protesting serious food shortages produced by army curfew.

The daily Ummat [urdu language] reports that Pak troops continued their attacks in the Darra Adam Khel area and used a helicopter to hit a Medressa [Islamic school] killing 2 people and injuring 10, including students. The Kohat tunnel in the area has been closed for 10 areas by the army, thus affecting the economy of the population.

In Bajaur, on September 8, Pak artillery continued to shell villages named Badan, Damidola, Dabar, Mulla Syed Banda as well as villages in the Khar area. [More than 400,000 people of Bajaur are homeless owing to the army offensive.]

Martyrdom attack: Massive Explosion: Sept. 7: In an attempt to take the battle to the settled areas under Pak control, a martyrdom operator hit a police check point on Kohat road near Peshawar. Pak investigators say he probably wanted to attack a target in the city but was stopped at the check point. Along with the police position, numerous shops and vehicles in the area were also wiped out. The latest death toll [Sept. 8] is 39 killed and 80 wounded, including the police force but also many innocent people. A top police officer was among those killed.

Afghanistan: U.S. Violates Ramadan
Heavy Fighting: Steadily Increasing U.S. losses: Taliban Counterattack U.S. Pincer Movement to Trap them

September 2-8: Fighting is raging across Afghanistan as U.S. forces try to trap Taliban fighters but find themselves under attack. Suddenly the U.S. moved its death toll, within 2 weeks, in Afghanistan from 499 to 580. Where these 81 elite troops were killed has not been revealed but comes in with Taliban claims of successes. [Two NATO troops were killed on Sept. 6.]

The seriousness of the situation was brought out in a press conference at the Pentagon on September 5 by U.S. Major General Jeffrey Schloesser. He repeatedly assured reporters that "we're not losing this war." He tried to rationalize the civilian casualties caused by the U.S. air force in its attempts to hit the Taliban. "We do not deliberately target civilians," he said. He admitted that the U.S. is going to need many more troops to be able to continue its operations in Afghanistan. Some of the information the General gave under good questioning by the skeptical reporters seemed to be genuine and illustrative. He made these points Latest: Sept. 7: Taliban blew up the main police station in Kandahar city killing 2 policemen and wounding 29. A senior police commander was among those wounded.
The same day an Italian military convoy was attacked by the Taliban in western Herat. The Italians are not revealing their losses.

In Berlin, Germany, Afghans immigrants and Germans have formed a coalition which is demanding the return of German troops from Afghanistan. This follows an incident in Kunduz [northern Afghanistan] when German troops panicking at fears of a Taliban attack opened fire on civilians killing a woman and 2 children. [Elsewhere in the area, a German soldier was killed/]

Taraweeh Prayers

Muhammed (s.a.w) never prayed any prayer called Taraweeh prayer nor did he pray any prayer after the Isha prayer except the usual nawafil prayers, which he regularly prayed throughout the year and which for us is the Sunnah prayers (two rakayats). But Rasool (s.a.w) always prayed Tahjath prayers consisting of eight Rakayats and three rakayat witr. Tahjath prayer was Fard for Rasool (s .a.w) and for us it is sunnah. The below hadees very clearly states that Rasool (s.a.w) never prayed any special prayers in Ramadan.

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith
Hadith 4.769 Narrated by
Abu Salama bin Abdur Rahman
That he asked 'Aisha "How was the prayer of Allah's Apostle in the month of Ramadan?" She replied, "He used not to pray more than eleven Rakat whether in Ramadan or in any other month. He used to offer four Rakat, let alone their beauty and length, and then four Rakat, let alone their beauty and length. Afterwards he would offer three Rakat. I said, 'O Allah's Apostle! Do you go to bed before offering the Witr prayer?' He said, 'My eyes sleep, but my heart does not sleep.' "

Since Tahjath was farl for Rasool (s.a.w), he prayed it as four rakayats but we cannot pray it as four rakayats; we can pray it as only 2 + 2 and so on and it would be sunnah for us. Only Farl prayers we can pray 4 Rakayats at a stretch; all other sunnah or nawafil prayers should be prayed 2 Rakayaths or 2+2 and so on. At this juncture, we should remember that Muhammed (s.a.w) though he did not pray any extra prayer in Ramadan, he advised us to pray as much prayer as possible each night to the extent that if anyone wants to pray the whole night, it is permissible only in Ramadan; in all other months it is a must that we should sleep for some time. And Allah is ready to pour-forth His Blessing on that person. So, the question does not at all arise whether one should pray eight rakayats or twenty rakayats; one can pray as many rakayats as is possible for him. As to how this prayer; i.e, the special night prayer in Ramadan was innovated, the hadees below clearly explains it:

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith
Hadith- 3.227 Narrated by
Abu Huraira
Allah's Apostle said, "Whoever prayed at night the whole month of Ramadan out of sincere Faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven." Ibn Shi hab (a sub-narrator) said, "Allah's Apostle died and the people continued observing that (i.e. Nawafil offered individually, not in congregation), and it remained as it was during the Caliphate of Abu Bakr and in the early days of 'Umar's Caliphate." 'Abdur Rahman bin=2 0'Abdul Qari said, "I went out in the company of 'Umar bin Al-Khattab one night in Ramadan to the mosque and found the people praying in different groups. A man praying alone or a man praying with a little group behind him. So, 'Umar said, 'In my opinion I would better collect these (people) under the leadership of one qari (reciter) (i.e. let them pray in congregation!)'. So, he made up his mind to congregate them behind Ubai bin Ka'b. Then on another night I went again in his company and the people were praying behind their reciter. On that, 'Umar remarked, 'What an excellent Bid'a (i.e. innovation in religion) this is; but the prayer which they do not perform, but sleep at its time is better than the one they are offering.' He meant the prayer in the last part of the night (Tahjath prayer). (In those days) people used to pray in the early part of the night."

Here we should note that though Umar (r.a.) innovated this practice, he also said that it would be much better to sleep in this time; i.e., at the time when they pray the Ramadan special night congregational prayer, and pray the Tahjath prayer during which the people usually sleep. And we should also note that Umar (r.a.) did not join in the congregational prayer. For, he knew it would be best to emulate the Prophet, who prayed only Tahjath prayers. But if one is to pray the whole night also, it is permissible as Rasool (s.a.w) has permitted to do so. In the below hadees, it is clearly un derstood that during the time of Ramadan, for a few days, Rasool (s.a.w) conducted this Tahjath prayer in the Mosque and in congregation, but he did not make a practice of the same.

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith
Hadith 2.229 Narrated by
Aisha(r.a) - mother of the faithful believers

One night Allah's Apostle offered the prayer (Tahjath) in the Mosque and the people followed him. The next night he also offered the prayer and too many people gathered. On the third and the fourth nights more people gathered, but Allah's Apostle did not come out to them. In the morning he said, "I saw what you were doing and nothing but the fear that it (i.e. the prayer) might be enjoined on you, stopped me from coming to you." And that happened in the month of Ramadan.

We know that the congregation conducted by Rasool (s.a.w) was during the time of Tahjath prayer as in another hadees, the Sahabas say Rasool (s.a.w) conducted the congregational prayer and recited long suras to the extent they feared that the suhr meals time (pre-dawn meals) would be over.

Allah's Apostle(s.a.w) said, "When it is the last third of the night, our Lord, the Blessed, the Superior, descends every night to the (1st) heaven of the world and says, 'Is there anyone who invokes Me (demand anything from Me), that I may respond to his invocation; is there anyone who asks Me for something that I may give (it to) him; is there anyone who asks My forgiveness that I may forgive him?' "
Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith
Hadith 8.333Narrated by
Abu Huraira(r.a)
At this juncture, it is very very important to bring it to your kind notice that praying Taraweeh prayers is allowed but it is absolutely useless when prayed behind an Imam, who takes payment for conducting the prayer and also behind an Imam, who belongs to divided or segregated groups for in either case it is HARAAM – i.e to take payment or gifts for the recitation of the Quran or to divide Islam into different groups – the one and only acceptable group is to be a MUSLIM and nothing else; like, - Hanafi, shafi, Maliki, Hanbali, JAQH, Tawheed, Shia, Sunni, etc. etc. and when Haraam is involved then Satan is involved and when Satan is involved you do not get any virtues for your ammals (deeds). It is far better to pray alone or form a Halaal Jamath and pray and benefit from the tremendous amount of virtues that Allah(swt) gives for every good deed in Ramadan.
To conclude; pray as much as you can and do as much good deeds as you can in Ramadan, but do not miss the Tahjath prayers. For, Tahjath prayer is the most pleasing to Allah after the Farl prayers. May Allah accept all our good deeds and make us perform the good deeds with utmost ease and comfort (ameen).

Please pass it on to as many Muslims as possible.
