Why the silence on Kashmir? Thousands of people, unarmed,
rallied against India on August 16 in Srinagar and other
Kashmiri cities. (Fox TV News). According to the BBC, 50
unarmed Kashmiris have been killed by the Indian occupiers
in rallies during the last two months.

Huge numbers of Somalis are homeless owing to Ethiopian
invasion and US-backed campaigns against the al-Shabab

By contrast, Hillary Clinton is pouring dollars into
Pakistan to save a corrupt government which has failed
miserably to help the flood victims. The US can see that
Islamic groups are among the masses and are helping the

the Indus break, millions more will be homeless. It is time
to help the Islamic charities who are honest enough to

Department
August 20, 2010. MANAMA, Bahrain - The imam leading plans
for an Islamic center near the Manhattan site of the Sept.
11 attacks said Friday that extremism poses a security
threat in both the West and the Muslim world.
The comments by Imam Faisal Abdul Rauf come during the first
leg of a 15-day Middle East tour — funded by the U.S. State
Department — to discuss Muslim life in America and religious
tolerance.
Rauf arrived in Bahrain on Thursday for a Mideast tour that
also includes stops in Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.
The trip is funded by the State Department's Bureau of
International Information Programs.
According to the State Department, this is Rauf's fourth
U.S.-government sponsored trip. He traveled twice to the
Middle East in 2007 during the Bush administration and once

Obituary: Faraj Hassan al-Saadi, Libyan Muslim in
England
On August 15, 2010 a wonderful Libyan Muslim known as Br.
Faraj led a vigil at the US embassy in London, demanding the
release of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui. The next day, he was killed
in a road accident.

This powerful documentary illustrates the influential
deviations which have led some Christian churches away from
the teachings of Jesus, pbuh. Carlson focuses on the
interpretations added to the bible in its Scofield edition
which transgressed against the text to teach the legitimacy
of Israel and to incite Christians to war against the Muslim
world.
Segments of the DVD focus on Mr. Carlson's personal
experiences in Gaza where he saw Israeli air attacks on the
civilian population.

Afghanistan
$267 Million a Day in Fighting the Taliban
"Some 24 percent of lactating women are malnourished, over
19 percent of pregnant women have a poor nutritional status
(low on minerals, vitamins, food insecure and weak) and
about 54 percent of under-5 children are stunted," according
to the U.N., "Afghanistan is second only to Sierra Leone in
terms of having the world's worst maternal and infant
mortality rates."
Currently, in its war against the Taliban, the U.S. is
spending about $267 million each day in Afghanistan--nearly
$100 billion a year. In theory, if that money was directed
solely at Afghanistan's food needs, the U.S. could spend
about $9 per day on each Afghan.
Latest War News from Afghanistan (Western sources only)
88 NATO troops were killed in hit and run Taliban attacks
during July. Fighting has died down in August as the Taliban
fast and pray. Till now 37 NATO troops have been killed in
August.
August 21: A NATO air strike killed an Afghan woman and her
2 children in western Farah province. The same day in
Jawzjan, NATO bombardment killed 10 civilians and 4 Karzai
police supporting NATO.
August 20: In the latest Taliban ambush, two Australian
troops were killed and two wounded in southern Uruzgan
province. The troop had come out of their late model armored
vehicle when the watching Taliban hit them with a homemade
explosive. At least 20 Australian troops have been killed
and 147 wounded so far in Afghanistan. (Our reporter adds,
Australians are known for their racism and crusader
mentality. What business does Australia have here?)
August 19: Taliban raiders attacked road construction crews
and security forces working on roadways for NATO troops in
Helmand province, Sangin area, killing 30 and wounding
others.
All the checkpoints on the Sangin-Gereshk road were captured
by the Taliban in the daylong battle.
Ambush in Yemen: Near Loder town, Abyan province, Yemeni
troops armed by the US fell into an al-Qaida-in-Arabia
ambush. At least 11 Yemeni troops are reported killed. The
Yemeni force opened artillery fire in the general direction
of al-Qaida killing 3 civilians and wounding 10. The Yemenis
claim to have killed 7 al-Qaida mujahideen.

Juma Khutba Emphasizes non-Cooperation with Oppressors.
Fasting is a Means to an end, not an end in itself
On August 13, 2010 in Baltimore's Masjid Jamaat
al-Muslimeen, Dr. Kaukab Siddique gave the first juma'
khutba of the sacred month of Ramadan. The masjid was packed
owing to Ramadan but we are summarizing the main points of
the khutba for countrywide distribution.
Text 1: "O you who believe! Fasting is prescribed for you as
it was prescribed for those before you that perhaps you may
achieve TAQWA", [The Qur'an 2:183]
Text 2: "And incline not towards the oppressors or the fire
will touch you, and you have no protectors other than Allah,
nor shall you be helped." [The Qur'an 11:113]
1. Ramadan gives us an opportunity to achieve a new level of
taqwa.
2. The term taqwa has layers of meaning. The most important
is Fear of Allah and awareness of Allah, leading to
self-awareness and social awareness,
3. Thus fasting which does not develop taqwa is not Islamic.
Allah does not want us to starve: Allah wants us to learn
self-restraint and discipline.
4. Even when Allah gives us permission for sexual
intercourse at night, it couples the permission with
re-configuration of husband-wife relations.
5. "They are your garments and you are their garments"
[2:187] emphasizes the complementary nature of husband-wife
relations. Not superiority of one over the other, but
togetherness and oneness. The garments beautify the
positives and conceal the deficiencies.
6. Worship in Islam makes rejection of false gods essential,
be they the gods of nationality, race, wealth, power or
gender.
7. As 11:113 points out, Islam does not permit cooperation
of any kind, even the slightest, with the oppressors.
8. Even thinking of cooperation with oppressors is
forbidden, in the words of the Qur'an, "incline not to those
who do wrong," let alone actual, physical cooperation.
9. As Muslims we are civic-minded and decent people. We do
not violate the law of the land. We are good neighbors,
honest workers and trustworthy friends.
10. That does not mean that we should cooperate with the
oppressive power structure. No one is forcing us and Islam
does not permit us to work for or with the White House, the
Pentagon, or the intelligence services. All such cooperation
is strictly haram.
11. Prayer and fasting are meaningless if we our loyalty is
not with Allah but with the oppressors. Fear of humans is
not an acceptable excuse.
12. Today we find a man with a Muslim name and claiming to
be Hafize Qur'an working for the White House. We find a
woman wearing a head covering working for the White House.
All such acts are haram. These activities demean Islam,
violate our sanctities and are meant to mislead and confuse
Muslims.

O Allah! give victory to the Muslims of Iraq, Afghanistan,
Kashmir, Somalia, Chechnya, Nigeria, Pakistan and Bangladesh
over the occupiers, the imperialists, the munafiqoon, the
exploiters and the oppressors.
O Allah! Help the Muslims of Baltimore, of Maryland and
America to unite on the basis of the Qur'an and the
authentic Hadith.
O Allah! Help the Ummah of Islam to drive the Yahood out of
Palestine.

the 6th today, I received and read your last publication.
What interests me most is the issue of "International burn a
Koran day." Is there any protest regarding that going on

Fasting on the Wrong Day & Kuwaiti Move
Ramadan Mubarak!
I had to stop my youngest brother from Fasting. He lives in
Texas. When he couldn't verify his sources for beginning
the Fast on August 11th he stopped immediately. I referred
him to the IslamicMoon.com site for future reference.
Also, the news is reporting that Kuwait and other hot cities
throughout the "Muslim World" are setting their clocks back
an hour early so that the Fast ends quicker because it is so
hot in these areas. Is that apart of the Sunnah. I am not
aware of it.
Is there any special consideration given to Muslims Fasting
in 115 degree areas?

Iraq: 150,000 minus 450 = 50,000 ?
Report from New Trend's Iraq monitor
August 18, 2010: MSNBC TV showed the withdrawal of 450 US
troops, a combat unit in its vehicles, from Iraq into
Kuwait. MSNBC, a mouthpiece of the Obama administration,
presented the withdrawal as a great event, showing it
vehicle by vehicle! Rachel Maddow, MSNBC host, was flown
over to Iraq for the purpose.
MSNBC claimed that the bulk of US troops have been withdrawn
and ONLY 50,000 are still in Iraq to train the Iraqis! There
were 150,000 US troops in Iraq. If 450 have been withdrawn,
that leaves 149,550 still in Iraq.
The attempt at fooling the American people continues.
Mujahideen guerrilla forces in Iraq were able to survive US
military action for more than 7 years. For the last two
years, the occupation forces have remained in fortified
positions and reduced their losses drastically.
(According to icasualties 4416 US troops and 179 British
troops have been killed in Iraq. The US losses include 46
killed this year. Every day reports of fighting come in from
Mosul where US backed Shi'ite troops are trying to control
the most important Iraqi city in the north.)
Major parts of western, northern and northeastern Iraq
remain under Islamic control. Reports indicate that a major
slice of western Iraq, as well as most of Mosul, some of
Kirkuk, the bulk of Diyala province and a district of
Baghdad are under the control of al-Qaida (known as the
Islamic State of Iraq). Saddam's Islamist forces, led by the
martyred president's trusted leader al-Douri, control the
rest of western Iraq and parts of Baghdad.
The US installed Shi'ite clique rules Basra, Najaf, Karbala
and parts of Baghdad and the southeastern border in
cooperation with Iran. The Kurdish areas are quite disturbed
except for the secularized enclaves supported by
Israel which look like cheap copies of small town
America.
GENOCIDAL ATROCITIES: Scores of Iraqi towns were destroyed
by the US occupation forces. The Muslims were not allowed to
take refuge in mosques. Hundreds of mosques were desecrated
and/or destroyed by US troops.
Abu Ghraib was only the tip of the iceberg of atrocities
committed against the Islamic masses. Here is our
remembrance of one such crime:

"Abeer Qassim Hamza Al-Janabi, Iraqi citizen, sister, and
daughter. Born August 19, 1992. Gang-raped, murdered, and
burned by U.S. troops March 12, 2006. Her parents were also
killed. "
Latest War News from Iraq:
August 17: A martyrdom operator attacked a military
recruitment center in Baghdad which was signing up Shi'ite
troops. Wire services report 59 recruits killed, more than
100 wounded in the huge explosion. Islamic State in Iraq
[Iraqi al-Qaida] took responsibility.
Shi'ites are reportedly the backbone of the US occupation of
Iraq with funding from the US and iran.

Pakistan: Treachery at Highest Level
500,000 Homeless but Health relief operations in Jacobabad
are not possible because the airbase is controlled by the
US.
The stunning statement was made by Health Secretary
Khushnood Lashari during an appearance at the Senate
Standing Committee on Health on Wednesday.
"Health relief operations are not possible in the
flood-affected areas of Jacobabad because the airbase is
with the United States," Mr Lashari said while answering a
question asked by Senator Semeen Yusuf Siddiqui of PML-Q.
Dr Jahanzeb Aurakzai, coordinator of the Health Emergency
Preparedness and Response Centre, said: "Foreign health
teams could not start relief operations in remote areas
because there are no airstrips close to several areas,
including Jacobabad."
The town has been evacuated and 500,000 to 700,000 people
have been affected. People displaced from Jacobabad, Thul,
Kandhkot, Kashmore, Ghouspur and Karumpur are camping in
Dera Allahyar.
"It is very unfortunate that Americans can launch a drone
attack from Shahbaz airbase but the government is helpless
even in using the country's base for relief operations,"
Senator Semeen said while talking to this correspondent.
She said the health ministry should have requested the army
to ask the US to allow relief operation from the base.
"I don't know why the health minister failed to report the
matter to the quarters concerned, specifically the Pakistan
Army.
"The airbase, which I think the government has given on
lease to the Americans, should be used to provide immediate
health relief to the flood-affected people."
The committee, headed by Senator Kulsoom Parveen, was
briefed by officials on health-related operations in the
affected areas.

Latest Jamaate Islami Relief Effort News
LAHORE, Aug. 19: The Jamaat e Islami Secretary General,
Liaquat Baloch visited different flood affected areas and
inspected the relief activities of the JI and the Al-Khidmat
Foundation.
The two organizations are distributing relief packages
containing dry ration, milk packets, and other eatables
among the flood affectees.
The JI secretary general appreciated that the Al-Khidmat
volunteers and JI workers were serving their brethren in
distress with true Islamic and humanitarian spirit.
Addressing JI workers, he said the floods had caused
colossal losses estimated around Rs. 600 billion all over
the country. [$1 = Rs. 80]. Thousands of people had died and
thousands of cattle heads had been washed away while
hundreds of villages had been eliminated.
He said the international community had rightfully expressed
distrust in the ruling junta for relief because of its
corruption, nepotism and commissions. Negligible amounts had
been received in the relief funds of the President, the
Prime Minister and the Chief Ministers. On the other hands,
people from within the country and abroad had expressed full
confidence in the country's religious parties for donations
for the flood affectees.
Especially, Saudi Arabia had come out with massive help for
our people as was really praiseworthy. On the other hand,
the feudal lords and the elite class of the country had
demonstrated their anti people mindset by breaching
protective bunds to save their personal properties, which
was a big crime.
Saudi envoy donates 5 tons of rice for flood affectees
LAHORE, Aug. 16: The Saudi ambassador in Pakistan, Abdul
Aziz Ibrahim al- Ghadeer, handed over five tons of rice to
the Jamaat e Islami Secretary General, Liaquat Baloch as
Saudi donation for the flood affected people, at a ceremony
held at Hafizabad, on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Saudi envoy said that the
people of the holy land fully shared the grief and the
sufferings of their Pakistani brethren caused by the rains
and floods which was the common calamity for both
states.
The Saudi ambassador commended the flood relief efforts of
the Al-Khidmat Foundation and said his country would
continue its assistance for the flood affected people both
at government and philanthropist level.
Speaking on the occasion, Liaquat Baloch said Saudi Arabia
was Pakistan's most trusted brother Muslim state and the
Pakistani people have deep love and religious attachment
with Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia, he said, had been extending
maximum help and assistance to this country in every
difficulty..Assistance in the present natural calamity was a
big service to humanity, he added.
He expressed the hope that the Pakistani people would emerge
out of the present trial with firm resolve and
confidence.
Meanwhile, Dr. Mubashir Siddiqui, JI Sargodha chief and Dr
Muhammad Farooq, district chief Al-Khidmat Foundation,
handed over a check for Rupees 1,500,000 besides relief
goods worth Rs. 3,000,000 to Liaquat Baloch at a ceremony
held at Sargodha.

promising Aid!
LAHORE, Aug. 16: The secular ANP government in Khyber
Province [previously known as Frontier province] is
distributing the flood relief funds and material among the
undeserving people in the areas that are safe from flood
while the flood affected millions are being neglected, the
Jamaat e Islami chief, Syed Munawar Hasan said in Peshawar
on Monday.
The ANP government is doling out the aid received from
abroad and within the country among its voters in areas not
hit by the floods, he said at a ceremony held at the Islamic
centre, for distribution of flood packages among the
affectees. Ex-MNAs Shabbir Ahmed Khan, Sabir Awan and
Abdul Akbar Chitrali, were also present.
Syed Munawar Hasan said the provincial government had
received 250,000 tents which were nowhere to be found.
Similarly, Saudi Arabia had donated tons of dates which too
were missing. This indicated large scale bungling, he said.
He called for an explanation from the government on this
score.
He said it was most condemnable that in the beginning, the
government showed criminal neglect by not giving a timely
warning to the people about heavy rains and floods. Even
afterwards, the people were left at the mercy of the flood
water while the high ups in the government simply watched
the devastation from helicopters.
He said the President, the Prime Minister and chief
ministers were making tall promises to the affectees and
even the US had promised aid. Ironically, he said, on one
hand, the US was killing innocent people in drone attacks
while on the other hand, it was promising relief. He said
the ANP government was responsible for the drone attacks.
Syed Munawar Hasan appreciated that the workers of the JI
and the volunteers of Al-Khidmat Foundation besides some
NGOs were busy in flood relief efforts purely with the
spirit of service to humanity and to earn divine
blessings.

Obama's Political Acumen: He fooled Muslims and Provoked Fox
TV "Rightists"

The idea that a mosque is to be built at the site of the
Twin Towers demolished on 9.11 by Muhammad Atta and 18
others shows the astute political moves of President Obama.
He fooled the Muslims into thinking that an actual mosque is
to be built. In fact there will be NO dome or minarets.
There will be NO ADHAN reaching out into New York. Many
Muslims were fooled by the media hype and started getting
agitated and supported Obama.
A number of writers have noticed that, Cordoba House, as it
is called, is not to be a mosque but a cultural center.
Here is one relevant comment:
From Mark Sledge, July 28: "...the building planned for 45
Park Place is a cultural center with a prayer room -- not a
single-purpose house of worship for Muslims, which is
probably what we should reserve the word "mosque" for. As
Haberman also explains, "That it may even be called a mosque
is debatable. It is designed as a multi-use complex with a
space set aside for prayer -- no minarets, no muezzin calls
to prayer blaring onto Park Place. The 92nd Street Y, on
which the Cordoba House is explicitly modeled, has a whole
host of Jewish events take place inside of it, but no one
calls it a synagogue. There's no good reason why Cordoba
House should be misleadingly called a 'mosque.' I've been
guilty of using this word too, in conversation and in
writing, but it's inaccurate. Muslims already read the Quran
and pray at 45 Park Place, but that does not and will not
turn it into a 'mosque.'"
More interesting are the facts about Abdul Rauf, the
so-called Imam of the so-called Ground Zero mosque. (It's
not at Ground Zero and it's not a mosque.)
On August 18, 2010 Keith Olbermann, a staunch supporter of
Obama, a good Jew, and veteran of MSNBC TV defended "imam"
Abdul Rauf. The key point he made was that Abdul Rauf should
be considered a patriot because he has been cooperating with
the FBI for a very long time.
Even more interesting is an article which appeared in
Atlantic Magazine. A Jewish writer, Jeffrey Goldberg, wrote
in defense of "imam" Abdul Rauf He quotes the "imam" as
saying that he is a Jew:
"The right-wing campaign against the so-called "Ground Zero
mosque" includes vicious personal attacks on the Muslim
cleric who leads the Cordoba Initiative, the organization
behind the plan. I know Imam Faisal Abdul Rauf, and I know
him to be a moderate, forward-leaning Muslim -- yes, it is
true he has said things with which I disagree, but I have
never expected him to function as a member of the Zionist
Organization of America."
"In 2003, Imam Rauf was invited to speak at a memorial
service for Daniel Pearl, the journalist murdered by
Islamist terrorists in Pakistan. The service was held at
B'nai Jeshurun, a prominent synagogue in Manhattan, and in
the audience was Judea Pearl, Daniel Pearl's father. In his
remarks, Rauf identified absolutely with Pearl, and
identified himself absolutely with the ethical tradition of
Judaism. 'I am a Jew,' he said. There are those who would
argue that these represent mere words, chosen carefully to
appease a potentially suspicious audience. I would argue
something different: That any Muslim imam who stands before
a Jewish congregation and says, "I am a Jew," is placing his
life in danger. Remember, Islamists hate the people they
consider apostates even more than they hate Christians and

All this would not have come out if the worst enemies of
Islam, the right wing extremists, had not launched a
powerful campaign against Obama, using the "mosque" as a

Obama might actually be a Muslim and a non-American. [Under
the veneer of conspiracy theories crawls the monster of
racism. Obama is Black or at least semi-Black.]
Allah is the Best of Planners. He has helped US Muslims to
see both parties working against Islam. One side wants to
deceive the Muslims, infiltrate them and win collaborators
in Muslim lands. The other wants to launch military
operations against Muslim countries, as if under Bush they
did not drop enough bombs to kill tens of thousands of
people.
Obama wants to use American Muslims, like Abdul Rauf, ISNA,
CAIR, ICNA, Aga Khanis, Qadianis ["ahmedis"] and others to
infiltrate Islamic communities and destroy them from within.
The Republicans want to terrorize US Muslims and to brand
them as potential terrorists. The Republicans are no match
for Obama. Let's hope the Republicans do more. They might
actually awaken the IMAN, asleep deep in the souls of many
US Muslims who have been drugged by the 4-letter
organizations.

Wednesday night in which he said his administration had
provided Israel with more aid than any other before it .. ..
In an interview aimed at assuring Israelis of the US's
support, Obama ventured a guess as to why they were
mistrustful of him. "Some of it may just be the fact that my
middle name is Hussein, and that creates suspicion," he
said. "Ironically, I've got a Chief of Staff named Rahm
Israel Emmanuel. My top political advisor is somebody who is
a descendent of Holocaust survivors. My closeness to the
Jewish American community was probably what propelled me to
the US Senate."

estimates of the number of victims - a number that since

which Meyer accepts as valid, suggests that Jews were killed
at Auschwitz not as part of an comprehensive extermination
program systematically to kill all European Jews, but rather
as an exceptional measure to curb the horrific epidemics
that were ravaging the Auschwitz I and Birkenau camps .. ..
Compared to the recently "authoritative" figure of
approximately one million Auschwitz deaths, Meyer has
reduced the number of Jewish victims there by at least
450,000.
