Dr Kaukab Siddique | Editor-in-Chief Jamada al-Awwal 26,1434/April 8, 2013 # 14

Islamic Shoora Met in Greensboro, NC: April 6.

Islamic Voice in USA rising Against Occupation, Israel, Police Brutality, Drones, Homosexuality: For Political Prisoners, Women's Rights, the Downtrodden, the Oppressed, Palestine, Africa, One Ummah, Bangladesh, Kashmir, Mali ...

The National Islamic Shoora of Jamaat al-Muslimeen [central planning committee] was able to meet in Greensboro, North Carolina, owing to the organizational skills of Imam Badi Ali and his team of volunteers. The meeting went on from 9.30 AM to 10 PM [about 12 and a half hours]. Halal meals Arab style were provided by the organizers. Prayers were combined for Zuhr and Asr and Maghrib and Isha with Dr. Abdulalim Shabazz [ DrAAS.info ] as imam.

The program was chaired by Dr. Kaukab Siddique, Ameer of JAM, in the morning and Sis. Ashira Naim, Secretary General, in the evening.

A highlight of the program included a call in by Imam Siddique Abdullah Hasan, who is on death row in Youngstown, Ohio. He spoke about the Lucasville, Ohio, prison uprising and the brutal way in which the prisoners were denied their religious rights in the use of alcohol in TB shots. The shoora was enthused by Br. Hasan's call and asked important questions.

Br. Kaukab Siddique began the program with verses from Sura Ale Imran 149 onwards in which Allah teaches Muslims how to deal with their own weaknesses and the role of leadership within that context.
He said, we are not against Jews. Islam always protected Jews, but we are against those Jews, Christians and "Muslims" who support Israel's claims of legitimacy.

The entire shoora was involved in wide ranging discussion of ways to boycott Israeli goods and businesses supporting Israel. Also extensive was the effort to pin down the meaning of Zionism.

The keynote speaker at night was Dr. Abdulalim Shabazz who spoke for more than an hour on the connection between Racism and Zionism. One of America's leading intellectuals, a Distinguished Professor of Mathematics at Grambling University, alumnus and professor of Lincoln University, Dr. Shabazz discoursed about the origins of American racism and its "natural" development into Zionism. Islam, he said, negates the concept of race as a false construct meant to divide, subjugate and rule people. Dr. Shabazz provided texts which could help Americans to understand this great evil. He also spoke of his own experiences with leading Ameriican universities.

Br. Yusuf , Advocacy Director of JAM, from Tennessee, spoke on the distinction between Saudi "Salafis" and the authentic salafis who follow the Prophet, pbuh, the sahaba, r.a, and the generation after them. The Saudis have come up with an externalized version of Islam which emphasizes the way one looks rather than the essential uprising of Islam against tyrants, kings and dictators. The Saudis have de-politicized Islam, he said. Osama bin Laden wanted the monarchy overthrown after it supported the arrival of US armadas in Arabia. "Saudi" Arabia is in a form of security lockdown as many now want to follow Osama's lead against the pro-imperialist monarchy.

Br. Solano traced the Islamic heritage of Hispanic people from Spain, their tremendous suffering under the Christian Inquisition and now their growth in America as a significant factor. Br. Solano is a pioneer in taking the message of Islam to Spanish speaking Americans and Latino immigrants.
A local brother presented a detailed study of drone attacks by the US in Pakistan, Yemen and Somalia. He noted that drone attacks are a blatant form of terrorism against civilians, including children, and takes any suspected supporter of the Taliban and al-Qaida, including US citizens, as targets for death by missile without any legal process.. Under Obama, these crimes against humanity have burgeoned beyond what Bush did.

Br. Abu Talib spoke on the conditions of poverty and lack of rights for the poor in various areas of New York, in particular East Flatbush, which were affected by the monster storm Sandy. He noted the inactivity of both Shias and Sunnis in New York who oppose each other but both support the government through a process of de-politicization.

Br. David Wiggins and Br. Duane "Shorty" Davis supported by Nadrat Siddique spoke at length about the oppression imposed on the people of Baltimore by the O'Malley administration and the callous attitude of officials in the legal system [who are mostly Zionists and Jews]. As in the case of journalist MacArthur, Jamaat al-Muslimeen is highlighting the injustices of the system. Duane Davis has invented a creative form of dissent by comparing the administration to a potty [toilet basin] which he carries around with him in facsimile.

Expression of US Muslim Conscience:
Resolutions of Jamaat al-Muslimeen's Shoora

On America

  1. We condemn the exploitation and degradation of women by the media and businesses. Women should not be objectified as money making instruments of male pleasure and sex slavery.

    1. This degradation of women is directly responsible for the chaotic disrespect for mothers in the home, in the workplace, in the community, and in the society in general. The concept of MOTHER is essential to civilization!

  2. The campaign against guns seems to be politically motivated. The movement should be against the culture of violence which permeates America. People, not guns, kill people.

  3. The killings in Connecticut and Aurora have led to a relentless media campaign against guns seemingly at the instigation of the government. The killings of youths and children in poor and oppressed, particularly Black, communities, in Chicago and other major cities should have been the center of attention. The money going to Israel and other corrupt regimes should be going into our inner cities.

  4. We urge the American people to protest police brutalities which are rampant across America. We call for the early release of James MacArthur who was active in observing police actions against citizens.

  5. We call on Muslims, Christians and all people who believe in Allah [God] to denounce President Obama's support of homosexual marriages. The Obama regime is skillfully undermining the religious rights of Americans. Now Obama has gone further by seeking Supreme Court verdicts against democratic opposition to homosexuality. The regime's evil moves can only be defeated by mass opposition from people of God.

  6. We call on the American people, particularly the nine million Muslims of America, to oppose monopoly of the media by supporters of Israel. We should create independent media.

  7. All political prisoners should be released. The Muslim world knows that Imam Jami al-Amin, Dr. Omar Abdel Rahman, Ahmed Abdel Sattar, Lynne Stewart, Dr. Ali Timimi, Dr Kifah. al-Jayyousi, Imam Siddique Abdullah Hasan, Ziyad Yaghi, Shifa Sadequee, and many others are innocent and should be released. The world does not know that numerous Black dissidents and rebels against the power structure have spent decades in prison. They, along with Native American prisoners, have suffered enough and should be released.

  8. Obama broke his election promise to close down the horrific Guantanamo Bay prison gulag. The isolation there is so terrible that scores of Islamic prisoners are on hunger strike and some are near death. Latest news indicate that according to the prisoners, the Qur'an was again defiled by the authorities. Mr. President, tear down this wall of inhumanity.

Overseas

  1. The end of the occupation of Palestine, from the river to the sea, is central to the future of the Muslim world.

  2. Palestine belongs not only to Palestinians but to Islam and the Muslim world, with full guarantees for the rights of Christians and Jews.

  3. We appeal to people of conscience to BOYCOTT all businesses which are Israeli or which support Israel in part or in full.

  4. We call for an end to the occupation of Afghanistan. NATO is an occupation force which has committed horrible atrocities against the Afghan people.

  5. We condemn the bombing campaign by US drones in Pakistan, Yemen and Somalia.

  6. We hail the successes of the Islamic forces in Syria while we oppose moves by the West to arm the westernized sections of the opposition and by Russia and Iran to re-arm the Assad regime.

  7. The threats and campaigns against Iran's nuclear program should be stopped. Israel already has nuclear weapons. Iran has the right to defend itself by developing its nuclear program.

  8. We urge India to withdraw its occupation forces from Kashmir and allow the people of Kashmir to express their will to join Pakistan.

  9. We strongly oppose the re-colonization of Africa by way of French troops in Mali, the US-Israeli support for Nigeria's army, the western interventions in Somalia and Sudan, and the western intrigues in Libya and Egypt.

  10. The people of Chechnya have suffered for many years under the heel of the Russian occupiers. We urge human rights groups to pay attention to the suffering of the people of Chechnya.

  11. Bangladesh's regime, under Indian instigation has launched show trials against Jamaate Islami Bangladesh leaders. Protests against these fake trials by thousands of young Bengali men and women have been brutally crushed by the Hasina regime under instigation from India. Muslim world should support the Bengali Islamics .

  12. Blasphemy by Bangladeshi pro-India and secular groups have deeply hurt the Bangladeshi people who are deeply devoted to Islam but are defenseless against India-supported army and police. The situation is serious. We urge all Muslims to support the Islamic cause in Bangladesh.

  13. We condemn the horrific crimes being committed by Buddhist mobs against the Muslim minority in Burma [Myanmer] first against the Rohingya Muslims in south western Burma and now against Muslims in central Burma. These crimes against humanity should be condemned by all human beings.

  14. We note with sorrow that Turkey is reversing its admirable stance against Israel under US pressure. We urge Turkey to resist the blandishments of the imperialists.

Unequalled Islamic Rally in Dhaka, Bangladesh, to Stop Hindu-Secular Attacks on Islam. Pro-India Regime Surprised by Strength of Islam.

April 5. Long March started from Chittagong and cities all over the country after Juma prayers.
The protestors had a problem reaching Dhaka because the government, through its agencies, closed down all forms of transportation by declaring a "hartal" against the Islamics. Using private and volunteer transportation, the Islamics, with thousands of young people from Jamaate Islami, reached Dhaka in their HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS.

Photo below: April 6. Shows the Islamic flood in Dhaka. Nothing like it has been seen before. The love of Muhammad, pbuh, drew them. They cry as they take his name. They are deeply hurt that in their country the secularists insult the one they love most.

The government arrested 4 of the bloggers to calm down the protestors but the people were not fooled.
Hasina, the pro-India prime minister of Bangladesh, riding a wave of hatred against Pakistan, and supported by Israel and the US, remains arrogant as she showed in an interview with the BBC on April 6.
The US is supporting the regime. The Zionist media COMPLETELY CENSORED the historic gathering of Islamics in Dhake. [See photo below from a Bangla language paper.]
