Hadith of the Week

Aisha's,r.a., Miracle: Revelation of Tayammum.
How Much she Loved the Prophet, pbuh; Ignored Father's Anger.

Narrated 'Aisha: (the wife of the Prophet) We set out with Allahs messenger on one of his journeys till we reached Al-Baida' or Dhatul-Jaish, a necklace of mine broke (and lost). Allah's Apostle stayed there to search for it, and so did the people along with him. There was no water at that place, so the people went to Abu- Bakr As-Siddiq and said, "Don't you see what 'Aisha has done? She has made Allah's messenger and the people stay where there is no water and they have no water with them." Abu Bakr came while Allah's messenger was sleeping with his head on my thigh, He said, to me: "You have detained Allah's messenger and the people where there is no water and they have no water with them. So he admonished me and said what Allah wished him to say and hit me on my flank with his hand. Nothing prevented me from moving (because of pain) but the position of Allah's messenger on my thigh. Allah's messenger got up when dawn broke and there was no water. So Allah revealed the Divine Verses of Tayammum. So they all performed Tayammum. Usaid bin Hudair said, "O the family of Abu Bakr! This is not the first blessing of yours." Then the camel on which I was riding was caused to move from its place and the necklace was found beneath it.

(Sahih Bukhari: Book #7, Hadith #330)

Comment by Kaukab Siddique: Revelation came, related to prayer in a place where there was no water for wudu. Tayammum is part of the Qur'an. That's just one of the miracles connected to Aisha, r,a.

See how much the Prophet, pbuh, loved her that he stopped his caravan to look for her necklace. Look at how much Aisha' r,a, loved him that she did not move at all while her father was getting very angry with her.

How Maulana Maudoodi Responded to Hard Core Bigotry.

In her Urdu language book Shujr hai Saya Dar [Trees with Deep Shade], Syed Abul 'Ala Maudoodi's daughter writes about her father:

"My dear father used to take the children with him to pray Juma' in the neighborhood mosque in Ichhra. The preacher at the mosque was deeply opposed to my father. At one juma, when my father was sitting right in front of him, the preacher said: O Muslims, if a Maudoodite dies and he is buried and a plant grows on his grave and a goat eats the plant , remember drinking the milk of that goat is haram.
Even then my father prayed behind that preacher.

That evening the workers of Jamaate Islami asked my father: These people who say nasty things about you, how can we pray behind them?

My father replied: Yes, do pray behind them. From whatever Qur'an and hadith I have studied, nowhere does it say: Prayer behind those who abuse Maudoodi is not valid!

Secondly, don't waste your time expressing explanations on my behalf.

World War II. The Fate of German Civilians. We can understand Iraq, Palestine and Syria by Reading this.

Hellstorm. The Death of Nazi Germany, 1944-1947
by Thomas Goodrich. Published in 2010 by Aberdeen Books, 3890 South Federal Boulevard, Sheridan Colorado 80110. 376 pages

[With thanks to Mark Weber, available from IHR in California.]

As it has been said, there were no angels in the Second World War. It was as if the devil had been let loose and was in control of the world.

When the French, British and American armies entered Germany from the West and the Russian hordes from the east, German civilians were the main victims of the victors.

Bombing and killing of Muslim populations in Iraq, Syria, Palestine and parts of Pakistan, Somalia and Yemen are known to us from international news reports. Look at how it is done: The US air force bombs the Islamic State [IS] every day and then the US media demonize the Islamic State [IS] to justify the bombing.

The Germans had been so much demonized by the allies that the most heinous crimes against German civilian populations created not the slightest stir of conscience in the allied ranks and people.

Look at how proud the Americans are of their bombing of TOTALLY DEFENSELESS Islamic people who have no way of shooting down high flying jet bombers. The pilots are presented as heroes and their victims as faceless people. Their families are never mentioned.

The Russians have murdered several thousand Syrian civilians within a few months and injured many more. They claim they don't ever hit civilians and their targets are only "terrorists."

Hellstorm by Goodrich is so well documented that there is no way to refute it or deny it. Some of it is so gruesome that it is difficult to read without breaking down. Read it in bits and pieces.

Here are some of the main points in outline:

Learning From Ethiopia: Massive Poverty but in it Faith in Allah does not Waver. Thousands of men and women in the mosques for prayers.
by Sis. Ashira Naim [Jamaat al-Muslimeen.]

[Sis.Ashira has now been in Ethiopis for 4 months.]
[A birr is Ethiopian money.]
[Adhan is the call to prayer.]

There is no true venture without "learning" as part of its journey. So, let me share with you some of the things that I am learning while on this venture to help hungry, needy people in Ethiopia. Firstly, let me pause to once again to thank the very noble believers, without whose contributions, this effort would be next to impossible. Alhamdullilah for The Believers. Allah's Reward is sufficient.

I've learned that this world (specifically planet earth) is no more or less than the learning grounds for all of us. We cannot reshape or alter it in any way; rather, we are shaped by our responses to it. When I walk or ride through this very different environment of Ethiopia, I am amazed how in spite of the environmental differences, man is so similar, truly a creation of Allah, adaptable to his environment. I am not practiced everyday to walking on broken grounds, crossing streets without the assistance of light signals, having hands reaching out (begging/asking) at every few steps, seeing so many men absolutely lying in the dust, women carrying their babies on their backs while holding the hand of a small walking child asking for help, so many clinically insane on the street....yet, there are also the men dressed in suits or otherwise nice attire, and women the same, going about their daily routine to get to their offices, children in school uniforms getting to school, all walking side by side, and all this is the "norm" for this society. So, I learn how to take my time, walk slower than usual, to place my feet carefully until I am more practiced.

Everyone wants to end the impoverished condition aforementioned; but rather than moan and groan, they put a birr in someone's hand and keep on with their lives. What I have learned is how the Adhan is so beneficial as it reminds everyone, regardless of religion, of the importance of prayer and mostly of The Creator Himself and His Mercy and how we must be respectful of this creation and treat each other with respect and kindness. And this is what I see in spite of all the anguish. Also, I am so overjoyed, happy, pleased to tell you that there are numerous masajid in each town I've lived in thus far, (Addis Abeba, Dessie, and Adama) and I've seen them fill up with men at every prayer time (I'm talking thousands). I get to see what is happening with the men because my Bajaj driver or taxi driver will have me wait "for 10 minutes" he will say while he prays. And on Jumah the women are in overflow attendance in the thousands. This is a delight to the eyes and a warmth to the heart that I wish you could see. It reminds me that regardless to what the criminals are trying to do in their denial, Allah IS in charge!

One very visible and viable part of this society is the youth. Believe it or not, it is hard to distinguish the youth here from the youth in the USA. They wear similar clothes, similar hair cuts, and engage in the production of rap songs and dances. What is amazing is the number of young men with degrees. Yet, they too remain in desperation and say to me that, in spite of their educational accomplishments, they are forced to work as waiters in restaurants or in some other menial job due to lack of employment opportunities.

It is in this environment that we work to in some way brighten the day for the less fortunate and hungry people who fill the streets, as well as, for those inside our gates who may not ask but are indeed in need. So, last Friday, April 8, 2016, we visited An Nur Masjid (the second largest masjid in the city). We placed envelopes into all the reaching hands until there were no more envelopes. We were saddened that we had not enough envelopes for all the reaching hands. The display of the inside of an empty envelope was enough to tell those we could not give that there simply was no more.

According to donations received, next Jumah we will feed on the streets and in the vicinity of Anwar Masjid (the largest masjid in the city). Then, it is our hope to return to the village area of Adama with one last feeding for this year.

If you would like to contribute to our efforts, please send donations to:

Masjid Jamaat al Muslimeen
4624 York Road
Baltmore, MD 21212.
Make your check payable to:
Masjid Jamaat al Muslimeen and note on it for Ethiopia.

I conclude with the words of Allah. Holy Quran, Surah Al Balad, Ayats 12-14 (Pickthall) "Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Ascent is!-- (It is) to free a slave, And to feed in the day of hunger."

TUNISIA
US Pouring in Military Assistance to Tunisia with hardly any Publicity. Fake Democracy has been Working Overtime to Crush Islamic Opposition
by our Media Monitor

According to report in Foreign Policy magazine, April 21, the US has decided to provide almost $82 million in military assistance to the tiny north African country known as Tunisia. The latest armaments include 10 helicopters and hell fire missiles as well as machine guns, all meant to suppress Islamic opposition to the secularist regime.

A fake democracy has been imposed on Tunisia through the connivance of Muslim Brotherhood groups led by Prof. Ghannouchi. More than 2000 people were imprisoned before elections were held. Several thousand went into exile to support the Islamic State in Syria-Iraq.

The Tunisian embassy itself provides proudly information on its close military cooperation with America: [Quoted uncut.] [The figures are prior to 2016.] "In January 2011, President Obama congratulated Tunisia and offered his support in his 2011 and 2012 State of the Union Addresses.

Tunisia has been a long standing strategic ally of the United States and the U.S. has supported the Tunisian military since its independence with education, equipment and training opportunities.

The total amount of U.S. military assistance to Tunisia since the revolution has been roughly $32 million, almost double the amount immediately prior to the revolution. U.S. origin military equipment comprises approximately 70% of the Tunisian military's inventory

Tunisia has been one of the top twenty recipients of U.S. International Military Education and Training (IMET) Funding since 1994 and since 2003 has ranked tenth in overall funding. Tunisia is the top IMET recipient in Africa. Over 4,600 Tunisian military personnel have trained in U.S. institutions since its independence.

Tunisia is one of the few countries in the world that has cadets in all United States military academies, plus the Coast Guard academy.

JI for CJP to head enquiry commission. Islamic Rebuttal to Prime Minister's Bitter Response to Panama Leaks. Pakistan has been looted by its leaders.
by Qaiser Sharif

LAHORE, Apr. 22: Ameer, Jamaat e Isami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has suggested that the Opposition should write to the Chief Justice of Pakistan to constitute a commission for an enquiry into the Panama leaks in particular and corruption in general.

He made this suggestion during a telephone call with the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, Syed Khurshid Shah, on Friday. The Opposition Leader had rang up the JI chief to discuss the latest situation in the country.

Sirajul Haq said that the nation had full confidence in the Supreme Court and it was imperative that the Chief Justice was requested to head a Commission which not only probed into the information divulged by the Panama leaks but also the plunder of the public wealth by different people and its transfer abroad. The Commission should also suggest measures for bringing the trillions of the public money lying abroad back to the country, he added.

This is delayed -right step

LAHORE, Apr. 22; Ameer,Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has said that Prime Minister's announcement for writing to the Chief Justice for setting up a enquiry commission was a step in the right direction although it was much delayed, but it was the victory of the nation.

Giving his reaction to the PM's address to the nation on Friday, he however said that the terms of reference (ToR) of the Commission should be decided with a complete agreement with the Opposition so that the doors of corruption could be closed for ever.

The JI chief said that the bitterness in the PM's address was misplaced as the allegations in the Panama leaks had not been leveled by the Opposition but were in fact an international disclosure. He said that there was a tradition of voluntary resignations in the wake of such allegations but the Prime Minister had not opted that way. He said that the crisis should be resolved within the minimum time so that the time of the nation was not wasted.

Earlier, while addressing a ceremony at Gujranwala, the JI chief said that Army Chief's action against corrupt officers was a clear message to the government that if he could punish corrupt elements, why could not the rulers do the same. He was talking to the media after a ceremony at Gujranwala on Friday.

Sirajul Haq said that those who had plundered billions of a poor nation, could not be pardoned at all. He said that the rulers' interests lay entirely outside the country and they came to Pakistan only to govern.

He said that it was time that we tried to leave for our coming generations a corruption free and developed Pakistan and evolved a system wherein even the one involved in the misappropriation of a single penny was punished and the penny was recovered from him. He wondered who had authorized the NAB to write off billions by accepting plea bargains.

Corrupt defending one another

LAHORE, Apr. 22; Secretary General, Jamaat e Islami, Liaqat Baloch, has said that the Panama leaks had exposed the corruption of the rulers but the corrupt were defending one another in a most shameless manner.

Addressing a youth rally at the Shahrah e Quaid e Azam, on Friday, he said that if military officers could be punished for corruption and the looted money could be recovered, why could not the corrupt rulers and politicians be punished and made to return the looted money.

He said that the nation wanted a commission under the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court that recovered every penny of the looted money from the rulers.

Liaqat Baloch said that the agents of the west and the protectors of the interest based system should not be pardoned in any way.

Truce Breaks as Assad's Air Force Bombs Muslim Civilians across Syria: Hizbullah Offensive on Aleppo Failed Again. Russia Bringing up Artillery to Smash Islamic Resistance. Islamic State Trying to Enter Damascus, Shoots Down Assad's Mig 23, Captures Pilot.

[Reuters, SOHR and Wire Services.]

April 18-24. For seven days Hizbullah with Iranian officers and Russian air support have been trying to advance on Aleppo but to no available. The mujahideen have foiled all their efforts resulting in no Alawite-Shiite advance in a whole week..Now the Russians are bringing up their long range heavy artillery to soften up the defense. Iran is pouring Shia militia into Syria,

Inside Aleppo city itself, the segments held by Islamic groups are being bombed by Assad. In response the Islamic fighters are mortaring the regime force holed up in the Alawite segment of Aleppo. Thirdly, the Communist Kurds known as YPG holding another segment of this huge city have been hit by Islamics of the "moderate" FSA with civilian Kurds among the casualties.

The cease fire was supposed to spare parts of Syria held by the Islamic "moderates" [FSA] but Assad's air force re-armed by Russia and Iran, is going for blood again. Bombing raids on Muslim populations have been renewed. The worst was the sudden assault by Assad on a market in Idlib province at Maarat an-Na'man. The people were at market thinking cease fire was in effect when Assad's jets struck. At least 50 civilians were killed and several hundred injured.

Islamic State is now trying to enter Damascus and topple Assad from two approaches to the city. From the southeast of Damascus IS is facing little resistance other than Assad's air attacks. IS presence became very evident when the IS mujahideen shot down an Assadi Mig 23 supplied by Russia. Like the jet shot down in Suwaida by IS last week, the pilot bailed out but this time he could not reach regime forces. After a prolonged search in the Dakwa area, IS mujahideen found the pilot and captured him.

IS wants to enter Damascus from the Yarmouk refugee camp where Palestinians have joined IS. However the way is blocked by Assad's tanks and secularist Palestinians of Abbas. On the east side of Yarmouk, al-Nusra is fighting IS trying to take over this choice way of entry into Damascus. IS has stopped the Nusra advance. This inter-Muslim conflict is delaying Islamic victory.

In Latakkia, al-Nusra is facing furious attempts by Alawite and Hizbullah militias to dislodge the mujahideen. These are back and forth battles near the Turkish border where al-Nusra is holding its ground with the help of Turkistan Islamic group.

In much of Idlib province too al-Nusra is firmly in control. Other al-Nusra controlled areas are north of Aleppo towards Turkey, along with FSA groups and IS [often in conflict].

In the south east of Syria, IS is trying hard to advance through Deir ex Zour to take Assad's last air force and garrison in the east but progress is slow owing to Russian air attacks.

The Assadi retaking of Palmyra did not work out for the Alawites. IS after withdrawing from Palmyra is fighting the regime out in the countryside. [Western media are using the old name of the city, Tadmur, instead of Palmyra evidently to conceal the fact that further advances did not take place,]
