Hadith of the Week

Fancy Mosques are not Islamic. Focus on Allah, not on your wealth.

From Anas ibn Malik, r.a: The messenger of Allah, pbuh, said: The Final Hour will not come till people start taking pride in the finery of their mosques.

From Abdullah ibn Abbas, r.a.: The messnger of Allah, pbuh, said: I see in the future that you will raise your mosques to the heights just as the Christians and the Jews did with their places of worship.

From Umar ibn al-Khattab, r.a., The messenger of Allah, pbuh said: The deeds of a people will start deteriorating when they start decorating and beautifying their mosques.

[These three hadith are from the Sunan of Ibn Maja, hadith number 622, 623, 624.]

Comments by Kaukab Siddique
Our focus should be on Allah and the Sunnah of His Prophet, pbuh. The mosques however big to accomodate numbers of Muslims should not be reflections of our wealth amd worldly pride.

In America, million dollar mosques are becoming the norm of our wealthy communities. The spread of Islam among the poor and the downtrodden in America which speeded up under the influence of Malcolm X [al-Hajj Malik Shabazz] ha slowed down and the mosques have become symbols of arrogant immigrants who flaunt their riches and write large checks while their poor brethren sit there listening to the bragging of large donations. This "church" type method of collection is shameful and scandalous. Notice the silence of these mosques on the suffering of the Muslim Ummah. These immigrants behave as if they are in Madinah while they survive only because the oppressors allow them to survive.

The humble mosque from which Muslims came out and conquered half the world was the Mosque of the Prophet, pbuh. Also look at the mosque in Afghanistan from which the Taliban emerged and challenged a superpower. It looks like a shack.

May Allah save us from the Wath of Allah that in His name we violate His teaching [thru the Prophet, pbuh.].

Jamaat al-Muslimeen reached 83 Muslims after Juma' Salat with 4-Page Document

On February 24, at the Islamic Center of Newark, Delaware, on the outskirts of the University of Delaware, a 4-page Jamaat al-Muslimeen document was given to 83 Muslims after Jum'a. Most of the audience were Arab Americans with smaller numbers of Bangladeshis and Africans.

The khurba given by an Arab brother, very eloquent in Arabic, but with a heavy accent in English, was about faith in the unseen and the unknown based on the story of Moses, pbuh and Khidr in the Qur'an.

The 4 page Jamaat document contained the following items:

  1. The contributions to the understanding of Islam in Pakistan by Dr. Israr Ahmad. [Via Br. Zaheer Bawany].

  2. Renewed fighting in Syria as Mujahideen groups try to unite.

  3. Mosul: Week 17. A series of Islamic successes against US backed Shia Armada.

  4. Importance of Supplication [du'a] and why often prayers are not accepted by Allah. [Br. Kaukab Siddique].

 Editor's Desk

It's not Correct to Blame Imam Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhab for the misdeeds of Saudi Kings.

Asalamu alaikum
Dear Mohtaram Br. (name omitted for privacy reasons)

We cannot blame Imam Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhab for anything which the Saudi Kings have done. Look at these dates:

There is a gap of 140 years between the two. The Imam did not advise the King, nor could he physically advise the king. Why? Because he was dead 140 years earlier.

King Abdulaziz (also known as Ibn Saud) began in1902, by restoring his family as emirs of Riyadh. He then proceeded to conquer first the Nejd (1922) and then the Hejaz (1925). He progressed from Sultan of Nejd, to King of Hejaz and Nejd, and finally to King of Saudi Arabia in 1932.

You have has written a lot of baseless attacks for which he has given no source. Imam Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhab not only loved the Prophet, pbuh, but had the greatest respect for the scholars of Islam. I quoted from his book about Imam Shafai and Imam Bukhari. He considers them as authorities. Here it is again:

"About this Quranic text, al-Shafai, Allah's mercy be on him, commented: 'If Allah had revealed only this sura as irrefutable demonstration to His creation, it would be adequate enough to convince them.'

Al-Bukhari, may Allah's mercy be on him, said with the same emphasis, ' Knowledge must precede both statement and action.'

The evidence for this is the statement of Exalted Allah."

I noted in the article of mine which you have distributed: "A favorite tactic of the abusers is to link the current rulers of Arabia, the Saudis, with "wahhabis." It is a bogus tactic like blaming Mohomed Ali Jinnah for the chaos in Pakistan, or Imam Khomeini for the sectarianism of Iran, or George Washington for the imperialism of America."

Please send me SPECIFIC information about Dr. Israr Ahmed. I don't think he was banned. I would like to know.

Hundreds of rulers have appeared in Najd over 1400 years. Hadith is not saying which of them is referred to in the hadith.

The word "kharijite" was not mentioned by the Prophet, pbuh. Imam Muhammad's brother was not a religious authority. His words don't mean anything.

Sincerely -
Kaukab Siddique,PhD

Remembering Malcolm X

by Br. Abu Talib, Jamaat al-Muslimeen.

There was a program last night on the anniversary of Malcolm X's assassination fifty two years ago.

The program was held at Sister's Place in Brooklyn and was sponsored by the December 12th Movement. There were about fifty people in the audience viewing a documentary of Malcolm X and his speeches.

The main theme were the ideas of Malcolm X in the era of Trump and the relevance of Malcolm X today. The same things Malcolm was telling us many years ago we are still facing many of the same problems like housing and education in the African American community.

There are many lessons for us today especially for the immigrant Community of Muslims who are in this society who do not understand the nature of this society and the racism they are facing. The Muslims from overseas need to read Malcolm X's books and listen to his speeches which are relevant today especially in this new climate of white Supremacy under this administration.

Malcolm X was an example for us as Muslims to stand for justice against injustice and to side with the poor and oppressed. That is our duty as Muslims We have to teach the people about Islam and to reach them in the community where they live and not to build fancy centers or Masjids away from the people as if we have a club.

The struggle continues as Malcolm X said many years ago. We have to organize and build organizations.

They Are Trying to Use Muslims against Trump.
Why so much love for Refugees and not for the countries they come from?

Response to the " Today I am a Muslim too" Rally in New York.[Ref: Azaan in Time Square and Linda Sarsour's Speech to Cheering non-Muslims!]

This is just a trick to fool Muslims. They are just fooling Muslims and want to get Muslims' help to remove Trump.

In fact, Trump will be the best president of USA. He is fulfilling his promise to his people and his policies are in favor of all the people in the USA. His policy about immigration has nothing wrong in it. He and Americans have full rights to take or not to take refugees from any country. His policy about the illegals is great and it will really make the USA great. It doesn't matter if they are in millions. Illegal people are the ones who commit serious crimes and corrupt the countries. I'm surprised why are these anti-Trump people having so much mercy for illegals too?

Those who are showing the favors to Muslims and talking against Trump, in reality, they have no concern for Muslims. They just want to use Muslims against Trump. If they would have any care for Muslims then why are they keeping their mouths shut and not saying anything against the bombing on the people of Palestine, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan etc. Instead of worrying about the refugees, why don't they talk about how to fix the problems in Iraq, Syria etc.? Why are they just insisting on bringing refugees?

 Africa

"Over a quarter of a million, children are already severely malnourished, If we do not reach these children with urgent aid, many of them will die,"
- Jeremy Hopkins, a UNICEF official in South Sudan.

The UN and other agencies have been struggling to deliver aids in the regions which have witnessed consistent civil war for three years. The UN had on Monday warned that war and a collapsing economy have set off a famine in South Sudan adding that millions of people are in urgent need of food.

An ethnic conflict erupted three years ago in South Sudan, killing tens of thousands, driving millions from their homes and hindering delivery of life-saving aids.

According to the United Nations officials, Malnutrition rates have soared above emergency levels, and countless people have died of hunger.

"Our worst fears have been realized," said Serge Tissot of the Food and Agriculture Organization, part of the United Nations.

So far, the famine has affected a relatively small area in the northern part of the country, where the conflict between the government and rebel groups has been most intense.

Thousands of people in that area have fled their homes, and many are living deep in the swamps or sweltering bush and surviving off wild plants and filthy water.

Battles are still raging in many parts of South Sudan, and United Nations officials fear the famine could soon spread.

South Sudan constitutes one of the biggest emergencies in Africa, perhaps the largest. The country broke off from Sudan in 2011 after decades of guerrilla warfare.African Union investigators have detailed accounts of massacres, mass rapes and forced cannibalism in the country.

PAKISTAN

 Pakistan

Can Peace and Unity be brought about in Pakistan?

by Kaukab Siddique

Pakistan seems to be caught in an unending cycle of violence and counter violence.

It all began when General Musharraf opened up Pakistan to provide logistical support to the US for its bombing campaign against the Taliban and Shaykh Osama bin Laden [who were allies of Pakistan].

Musharraf was worried that if the American bombing campaign continued during Ramadan, the Muslim masses might overreact. The Americans ignored his worries and continued the bombing.

Demonstrations in Pakistan against the bombing were very loud but remained peaceful. Both the Pakistani military and the Americans understood that the Pakistani mainstream will do nothing more than demonstrate and shout and scream.

The people of Swat and then of FATA [the border areas with Afghanistan] wanted Islamic Law [Sharia]. They held massive rallies to express their support for Sharia . The Pakistani government objected while Islamic groups supported Sharia. The speakers at these rallies claimed that unless Sharia was accepted, the Pakistani government's writ would not be acceptable.

The influence of the armed Islamic groups spread all over the frontier areas. When these groups reached Buner, America raised the alarm that they were now only 70 miles from Islamabad. After that the Pakistani military, ostensibly directed by the US, attacked Swat and used tanks, heavy artillery, helicopter gunships and finally jet fighters against the mujahideen.

The entire population of Swat was evicted by the military to provide a free fire zone to the Pakistani armed forces. Mass eviction of population is a form of genocide but the Pakistani regime being an ally of the US, its crimes did not send even a ripple of discontent in the UN and its constituents.

After that the US urged the Pakistani military to attack South Waziristan and other frontier village areas. The military did it. But the US was not satisfied. The American directive came to be known in Pakistan as "Do More." The Americans insisted that mujahideen were deeply rooted in North Waziristan and unless they were uprooted, "terrorism" would continue.

Sane elements in Pakistan, like Syed Munawwar Hasan, then Ameer of Jamaate Islami, objected to the attack on North Waziristan and pointed out that people uprooted from there would spread through "mainstream" Pakistan and could lead to endless military operations inside the country.

The military again evicted the ENTIRE POPULATION of North Waziristan and then attacked the mujahideen there with all its might. The fighters put up a heroic resistance. They could not face Pakistan's overwhelming fire power and many of them fled to Afghanistan. Most of the mass eviction was done in the hot month of Ramadan. Thus the military trampled on all the sanctities and decencies of Islam.

Over the years, the army has been "processing" the people of Waziristan to let them go back, slowly, to their homes. It's probably a process learned from the American destruction and "rebuilding" of Fallujah in Iraq.

Just when the Pakistani military considered that it had crushed the resistance, there was an attack on the military's training school where young people were prepared for careers in the armed forces. It was a pitiless slaughter, perhaps as horrific as the US and Pakistani bombing of Islamic seminaries, schools and mosques where Pak Taliban were the teachers.

The attack on the military children's school led to an all out propaganda campaign which presented the slaughter as an attack on ALL of Pakistan. The military more or less openly took over Pakistan without a formal coup. Civil rights, already weak, crumbled. Scores of people were executed, though many of them had no connection with the Taliban,

The Pakistani military is known for its assault on SOFT Islamic targets. The Pak Taliban and other armed groups have no artillery, tanks, helicopters or jet fighters. They are soft targets and the Pakistani air force enjoys bombing them. There is no danger. It's fun for the air force to drop bombs and missiles on people who have no anti aircraft weapons.

In acts of macabre humor, the Pakistani high command has been giving medals for heroism to pilots who have been bombing the defenseless Pak Taliban and their affiliates..

In return, the fighting groups have been hitting soft targets in "mainstream" Pakistan. No amount of bombing by the Pakistani air force seems to deplete the ability of the fighters to hit back. Most recently they caused havoc by attacking police in the most famous place in Lahore and then came the horrific attack on the shrine in Sehwan when the Sufis were in the middle of a dance. There can be no excuse for such an attack on defenseless people.

Pakistanis do not know that their military habitually attacks soft targets in areas supporting the Islamic groups. The people under attack by the military believe in retaliation [defined by the Qur'an as Qisas].

The attempts to crush the Pakistani Islamic groups by the use of military force are not changing the situation. Each Pak-Taliban attack is worse than the previous one. The support for the fighters is increasing among the poorest sections of society, particularly in south Punjab. Thus military action is steadily bringing large sections of the poor and the deprived into the ambit of armed resistance.

The way to peace is through communication. Control of propaganda is effective in upper echelons of society but the poor masses are untouched by the military's story telling [that the fighters are working for India!]

The people of Pakistan should know what the military has done. This is the same military which broke East Pakistan from Pakistan. There is too much brainwashing by the military. Calling its campaigns by Islamic names like Zarb e Azab and rudd e fasad might make the soldiers think that they are doing God's work [!] but it means nothing to the masses.

Pakistanis should honor and respect the leaders of the mujahideen as they at one time honored Shaykh Osama . They are Pakistanis, not Indians. They are not working for India. They don't tolerate India, not even its supporters and the vestiges of the NAP. They are the ones who won the little piece of Kashmir called Azad Kashmir.

Quaide Azam, the founder of Pakistan, promised that the military would not enter the tribal areas. That's the way to peace. Put the troops on the frontier with India and Kashmir .

The military was fighting for the British when Pakistan came into being. Pakistan was the choice of the people. The mujahideen love Pakistan. The army surrendered to Hindus in East Pakistan. The army attacked the Red Mosque and the Women's seminary [killing bahijab girls and women] right in the capital of Pakistan!

The army's connection with Imperialism and Zionism should be examined. The generals visit the CIA headquarters in USA and NATO headquarters in Brussels. The "hero" of the army General Raheel Sharif has found employment with the Saudis. Pakistanis are never consulted about these matters of national security

Once the troops are withdrawn from Islamic towns and villages and Sharia is implemented, Pakistan will return to normal as it was meant to be: an Islamic State.

How Shia Cult Began.
The Murder of Usman, r.a., Compiler of al- Qur'an; Greatest Sahabi [except 2]. Beloved of Muhammad, pbuh.

by Kaukab Siddique, PhD

On Muharram 1, hijri year 24, the Companions of the Prophet, pbuh, gave the oath of allegiance [baiya] to Usman ibn Affan, r.a.

On Zilhijja 18, hijri year 36, he was murdered.

His 12 years as Caliph were years of victory for Islam when the armies of mujahideen reached as far west as Morocco and as far east as central Asia [Tabaristan etc]. Led by his commander for the navy, Muawiyya, r.a., the Muslims, defeated the combined navies of Christendom in one day. It is reported that the ocean ran red with the blood of the European army.

The Prophet, pbuh, saw his piety and commitment to the faith and arranged the marriage of his daughter, Ruqayya, r.a. with Usman, r.a..

When the chiefs of Makka oppressed the Muslims, Usman,r.a., and Ruqayya, r.a., did the first hijra in the history of Islam to Ethiopia in Africa thus creating the Islamic link with Africa. It was a very tough journey and on the way Ruqayya, r.a., had a miscarriage. Her health problems continued after they returned from Ethiopia. He was always there for her, caring and compassionate.

After Ruqayya, r.a., died, the Prophet, pbuh, arranged the marriage of his second daughter, Umm Kulthum, r.a., with Usman. She too was in bad health and years later she passed away. The Prophet, pbuh, said if he had another daughter, he would have married her too to Usman, r.a., because of Usman,s, r.a., compassion and love. [Fatima, r.a., the third daughter, was already married to Ali, r.a.]

Why were the shias able to murder Usman, r.a.?

  1. Three important reasons are available in the authentic early histories:

  2. The Islamic armies were stretched out hundreds of miles away from Medina.

  3. Many prominent Muslims, including Ayesha, r.a., had gone for Hajj.

There was a campaign of rumor mongering and slandering against Usman, r,a., Sahaba, r.a., had often differed with each other but never fought each other. They thought the new controversies were normal in an open society and NEVER thought that anyone with a Muslim name would try to kill the blessed Caliph who had the love of the Prophet, pbuh, as part of his credibility.

When the shias realized there was no armed force to defend Medina, they entered the city and besieged the mosque and the home of Usman, r.a. The Shias numbered about 6000, including groups from Egypt parts of Iraq.
From the people of Madina, 600 people came forth to defend of Caliph. He told them NOT to fight. He said he did not want Muslim blood to be shed for his sake.

When the rebels closed in on him, he tried to dialogue with them. He told them that they did not have the right to remove as Calipn because they had not made him the Caliph. When they pressed into the mosque and his home, he saw that they were intent on killing him. He told them that a Muslim can only be killed for three reasons and unproven accusations of misrule were not one of them.

Finally,on Friday, while he was continuing his fasting from previous days, a group of the Shias leapt on him and killed him while he was reading the Qur'an he had compiled. A slave he had freed, fought the attackers and gave his life. Nailah, the wife of Usman, r,a,, put up her hand to stop the sword blow coming down on him, Her fingers were cut off.

There was great suspicion at that time that Ali, r.a., was behind the shia attack but he vehemently and repeatedly denied any involvement. Among the assailants was Ali's step son. Another man became famous as commander of Ali's army, named Ashtar, was among the assailants.
Suspicions were raised by the killers declaring Ali, r.a., as the next Caliph.

Nailah cried out to the Muslim Ummah that could they allow such a dastardly crime to be committed. She cried out to Muawiyyah, r.a,, and showed him her fingers which had been cut off. The fingers were hung on the gateway to the central mosque in Damascus. Thousands of Syrians rallied to Muawiyya, r.a., for the cause of Usman, r.a.

Ayesha, r.a., who was in Makkah for the Hajj called for the murderers to be punished. An army gathered around her. Thus came about the wars between Muslims which followed.

As Usman, r.a., had told his assailants, if you kill me, you will never be able to pray together.

[Documented from Tabqat al-Kubra by Ibn Saad and other authentic narratives.]

Three Pronged Move towards Al-Raqqa. Assad's Top "Intelligence" General Killed. Two Brigades Join IS. Bombing across Syria by Russians, Assad's helicopters and Americans.

February 20 - 26
February 24: Turkish tanks and Syrian mercenaries Turkey supports finally entered El Bab [north east of Aleppo] after IS withdrew. 14 people were killed as Turkish air force bombed El Bab just before the entry.

On February 25, SDF [Kurdish forces] supported by the US air force again advanced a little towards the IS capital al-Raqqa. Constant bombing of al-Raqqa by the US and its French, British, Australian, Belgian, Jordanian air forces have made civil life in al-Raqqa difficult if not impossible.

On February 26, Hizbullah of Lebanon and other Shia militias captured the Islamic State's town of Tadef which is slightly south of El Bab. Russian bombing and Iranian artillery paved the way. Clashes between Hizbullah and IS fighters is continuing

This is the third prong of the military strategy to besiege al-Raqqa. [Turkey, Kurds and Shias.]

Military Celebration Wiped out. Feb. 24.
The IS withdrawal from El Bab was tactical. The Turkish led militia gathered to celebrate the victory at Sosyan just north west of El Bab when they were struck by a huge IS truck bomb martyrdom operator. The force was wiped out with 83 killed and scores wounded.

General In Charge of Torture Killed.
On February 25, Assad's intelligence command offices located at two points in the central city of Homs were struck by several martyrdom operators sent by al-Nusra front. A total of 32 officers of the regime were killed and scores wounded in the attack. Among those killed was General Hassan Daabul, intelligence chief of the Assad regime and a close confidante of Assad.

Al-Nusra has re-organized itself with various mujahideen groups. [See previous New Trend]. This deadly attack in Homs was the first operation by the new coalition.

Al-Waer district of Homs under severe attack by the Assad regime and Russia.

While much of Homs is under Alawite control, the large al-Waer district, defended by citizen volunteers and defected officers from Assad's forces are holding out under intense attacks by Assad's forces and Shia militias. For this entire week, al-Waer was bombed by the Russian air force and shelled every day by Iranian and regime artillery. It is still holding out.

Changes among Mujahideen.
Two groups break away and join Islamic State. From Idlib province, Jund al-Aqsa broke away from from mujahideen coalition. After serious clashes with other groups and many casualties al-Aqsa was given the way to leave from south Idlib and reach Islamic State territory travelling north of Hama. [Feb.21-23.] Many of these are Palestinians.

In Deraa province [southern Syria, near Jordan], a mujahideen brigade known as Jaysh Khalid ibn al-Waleed has broken away from the FSA and joined the Islamic State. Frequent clashes are going on here.

Deraa city itself is being hit by Assad's helicopters dropping barrel bombs meant to cause civilian casualties. Assad forces also on Feb 25 hit the city of Deraa with ground-to-ground missiles.

Around Damascus, Shia and Hizbullah artillery and Russian air force are hitting suburban towns like Jobar defended by Islamic volunteers and defectors from Assad who joined the FSA. Assad is looking for ways to terrorize the populations around Damascus to leave. However on Feb. 26, Assad's capital Damascus, heavily guarded was hit by mujahideen mortar fire. Islamic State is in control of Yarmouk Camp and Hajr Aswad enclaves adjacent to Damascus.

Hizbullah and Assad's elite troops with Russian air support are battling with IS west of Palmyra in the desert. No gains on either side but at last reports IS had counterattacked.

In Latakia province, the heartland of the regime, fighting is ongoing between Islamic Turkistanis [not connected to Turkey] and Al-Nusra against the forces of the Damascus regime.

Islamic groups led by al-Nusra and other groups coalition are clashing with Alawite garrisons in the western side of the city of Aleppo.

[Meanwhile opposition groups supported by the West which have little impact on the battlefield are holding "peace talks" with the Western powers and Assad. Looks like there are moves to keep Assad regime in power. Even FSA will not accept that.]

Iraq.
Mosul..Week 19, Trump week 5.

After 6 days with US troops embedded, Massive New Assault unable to enter West Mosul. Use of tiny drones Baffles Regime's Armada. Heavy Losses at non-Existent "Airport."

Feb. 20-26. After six days of intense fighting, the Shi'ite armada backed by the US air force, has been unable to enter west Mosul..

In the first rush, the US-backed forces reached the airport outside Mosul. There was nothing there. The troops went on to capture the district next to the airport. However the troops which had gathered at the "airport" were suddenly hit by Islamic State fighters with rockets which killed more than 40 troops.

US special forces are embedded with the highly trained Shia troops. This time there were US casualties. The Pentagon is refusing to release how many were killed or wounded because, it says, such information will please the enemy.

The attacking armada is baffled by the increasing use of tiny drones by the Islamic State which have been dropping little bombs on the troops. The losses are not heavy but the forces are very confused by the Islamic version of "air strikes." These are no match for American air strikes but are creating confusion in the surveillance required for US air strikes.

Food and water supplies in Mosul are shrinking. Another one thousand civilians have fled from the city terrified by the sounds of American bombing. However, the great majority of the people are standing firm with IS and making it difficult for western propagandists to explain why about a million Iraqis are staying with a small mujahideen force resisting a massive Shia armada.

North Carolina
NBA's Pro-Homo, pro transgender bathroom policies
by Sis. Aisha [Jamaat al-Muslimeen]

The 2017 NBA All-Star Game was supposed to be hosted by the state of North Carolina. However, that did not happen because the NBA was upset over North Carolina's laws regarding transgenders using public bathrooms. The NBA feels that these laws are discriminatory and hurtful to transgender people. This is a highly contested debate that may be one of the major issues that divide America even further, if it hasn't already.

The NBA is took its stand against North Carolina's anti-transgender bathroom law and moved the all-star game to New Orleans, of all places. Now, the NBA is threatening the state of Texas over an anti-gender neutral bathroom bill.

Some people are of the opinion that transgenders should use any bathroom they choose or that they have a special bathroom just for them. Some believe that if someone is born with a male anatomy, for example, then "he" should use the men's bathroom even if "he" dresses like a woman. These so-called anti-transgender bathroom laws make it a crime for someone with a male anatomy but, who dresses and identifies with being a woman, to enter a woman's bathroom. This is the controversy.

At Walt "Clyde" Frazier's New York City restaurant the bathrooms are not designated by any gender. They are private individual bathrooms that people use one at a time. There are ten or more of these single-occupancy bathrooms in the restaurant. Maybe adopting this type of format would lessen the controversy.

There are states, such as California, that are adopting unisex bathrooms for single occupancy use. However, the show Ally McBeal featured a co-ed bathroom that male and female co-workers used. For some people, this would really cause confusion and controversy.

A sports league taking a stand on a political issue is rare, maybe with the exception of the integration of professional sports leagues in the late 1940s. But, I do find it a little unnerving that a couple years ago Eric Garner was murdered by police on video for all to see but, no NBA outcry for justice! It is also unnerving how one of their very own athletes, Thabo Sefolosha, had been attacked by the NYPD, which resulted in his broken leg and being out of the NBA Playoffs. There were no threats of a boycott against New York City when these incidents happened! There were also no convictions of any officers in either case.

A few NBA players: Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul, Dwyane Wade, and LeBron James spoke against police committing murders and assaults in this country at the 2016 Espy Awards. Now, there is a commercial, sponsored by the NBA, that promotes the message of people respecting each other all the while showing footage of armed police officers shooting basketball with little Black kids, probably footage from the Police Athletic League (PAL). Unfortunately, the message of concern these athletes were trying to convey that night at the ESPY's had become distorted by their Zionist team owners in this commercial.

The Zionists are very unified on issues concerning the "rights" of the Luti's and transgenders. The NBA/WNBA have made it clear that promoting Luti's is a priority over other more serious issues, especially ones that affect their players, who are mostly of African-descent.

Olathe, Kansas City.
Shooter did not Know that Muslims don't Go to Bars.

Authorities in Kansas filed first-degree murder charges against a man accused of opening fire in a bar there, killing one Indian man, injuring two other people and causing fears about bigotry to reverberate across the globe.

According to witness accounts, the gunman reportedly told two of the people who were shot — both Indian men who work for Garmin, the technology firm — to "get out of my country" before opening fire and had also used racial slurs during the Wednesday evening shooting.

Multiple law enforcement agents launched an investigation into the deadly shooting inside Austin's Bar and Grill in Olathe, a city about 20 miles southwest of Kansas City. Even as authorities said they had not yet identified a motive for the attack, relatives of the Indian men said they feared the shooting was connected to a climate of fear and xenophobia in America.

The father of one of the people injured pointed to the election of President Trump, who has routinely described a threat posed to Americans from people outside the country's borders, and pleaded with parents in India "not to send their children to the United States."

GUIDANCE

 O Allah Forgive Me

Do not despair of Allah's Mercy.... ever!
by Asma bint Shameem
[Houston, Texas]

It was Ramadhaan. The Haram was absolutely jam-packed.....it seemed almost like Hajj.

But that day I thought I could beat the crowds.

I wanted to pray in the courtyard, with the Kaa'bah right in front of me. I thought if I could get there in the middle of the day, right after Dhuhr, I wouldn't find very many people there as I assumed, not many people would want to pray under the scorching heat of the sun. Thus, I could probably find a good spot to pray.

So instead of praying in my usual spot way in the back in the women's section, I decided to head for the courtyard. However I had walked only a few feet when I realized my mistake. The courtyard was already full. Everyone had already taken their places for Salah and there was no way I could even dream of finding a spot there. So I decided to go back.

But that was also an utterly fruitless effort. People had already gathered behind me in a long line and there was no chance for me to go back. I looked hopelessly to my right and then to my left but, to my dismay, all I could see were rows and rows of men and there was absolutely no place to go. I was stuck.

 Ramadhaan

And then to my dismay they called the Adhaan. And it was then that I started to panic! Yaa Allaah! What should I do?!! Where can I go??!

All I wanted to do was to find a nice spot to pray, but here I was, stuck in the middle of the crowds with absolutely no place to even move an inch!

How can I pray here in the middle of all the men!!

A feeling of urgent desperation overcame me. Shaytaan started to play with my mind and I started to despair. How unfortunate I was! Here I am... standing in the middle of the Haram.... in Ramadhaan... wanting to pray... and yet I CAN'T!

It's all because of my previous sins, I sadly thought to myself. All the mistakes of my flawed past came rushing to my mind.......I thought of the many times I had disobeyed Allaah, the way I had broken His Laws....the times I didn't value His Limits...how I did not practice Islaam the way I was supposed to.

I felt that Allaah had rejected me and didn't think of me as even worthy of praying 4 Rakaah in His Masjid. He has deprived me of the Taufeeq and the Honor to pray at His House, the Kaa'bah.

I felt destroyed, hurt, miserable, hopeless and depressed. And then, somehow, all of a sudden, I looked up.....and then I gasped. For, up on one of the pillars of the Masjid, an Ayah of the Qur'aan was inscribed..... the most beautiful, amazing, incredible Ayah that I had ever read in my entire life! It was an Ayah that I felt, was written there for ME...to be read by ME....to be seen by ME IT WAS MEANT FOR ME.

My heart was absolutely overcome and I started to cry.

 Surah az-Zumar Ayah 53

It was from Surah az-Zumar Ayah 53. It said:
"Say: 'O My worshipers, who have sinned excessively against themselves, DESPAIR NOT of the Mercy of Allaah! Verily, Allaah forgives all sins. He is the Forgiver, the Most Merciful."

Subhaan Allaah! Yaa Allaah! Yaa Rabbi!!

Can there be an Ayah more beautiful than this??!!
Can there be a Rabb more Merciful than this??!

Seeing the Ayaah right there, just when I needed it the most was just too much for me. Sudden, uncontrollable streams of tears rolled down my cheeks.....tears of regret....tears of hope...tears of gratefulness.

I was overcome by the Mercy of Allaah.
I had the irresistible urge to prostrate to Allaah Subhaanahu wa Ta'ala right then and there and say... Yaa Allaah forgive me!! I beg You to forgive me.
I beg You to overlook my mistakes and shortcomings. How ungrateful I was! For indeed it is His Mercy that encompasses all. And it is His Mercy that forgives all.

I turn to you My heart full of shame My eyes full of tears

All it takes from us is one sincere repentance and He will forgive us.

After all, isn't He ar-Rahmaan and ar-Raheem?

No matter how big the sin or sins that you have committed, no matter what your past has been like, if you come back to Him with one sincere, sincere Taubah, coming from the heart, He will forgive you.

Wallaahi, I swear by Allaah, He will.

What a Magnificent Master of such a miserable slave!!

The Prophet (sal Allaahu alayhi wa sallam) said:

"Allaah says, 'O son of Adam, so long as you call on Me and put your hope in Me, I will forgive whatever you have done, and I will not mind. O son of Adam, even if your sins were to reach the clouds of the sky, then you were to seek My forgiveness, I would forgive you and I will not mind. O son of Adam, if you were to come to me with an earthful of sins, and you were to meet Me not associating anything in worship with Me, I will come to you with an earthful of forgiveness.'"
(Tirmidhi-- hasan).

Allaahu Akbar!

Surely, the Bounty of Allaah is immense and He is the Most Merciful of those who show mercy. His Mercy is the greatest......greater than His Wrath and greater than the greatest of our sins. Indeed He is more merciful to us than a mother towards her child. So never, ever despair or lose hope. If you repent sincerely, it will wipe out whatever came before it.

"O you who believe! Turn to Allaah with sincere repentance! It may be that your Lord will expiate from you your sins, and admit you into Gardens under which rivers flow."

(Surah at-Tahreem:8)

And he (sal Allaahu alayhi wa sallam) said:

"Allaah spreads out His hand at night to accept the repentance of those who committed sins during the day, and He spreads out His hand during the day to accept the repentance of those who committed sins during the night. (He will continue to do this) until the sun rises from the West."
(Muslim)

In fact, Allaah rejoices over the repentance of His slaves even though He is in no need of our obedience. He tells us that He loves the one who repents.

إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ التَّوَّ›بِينَ
"Truly, Allaah loves those who turn unto Him in repentance"
(Surah al-Baqarah:222)

So repent sincerely, ask Allaah to forgive you, no matter how bad it was and do not repeat the sin. Have full hope in Allaah's Mercy that Allaah will forgive you. The Prophet (sal Allaahu alayhi wa sallam) said:

'The one who repents from sin is like one who did not sin.'"
(Ibn Maajah-- hasan by al-Albaani)

And if you are tested with any kind of sin, do not speak openly of it. That's because the Prophet(sal Allaahu alayhi wa sallam) said:

"The believer will be brought close to his Lord until He conceals him and makes him confess his sin. Allaah will say, 'Do you remember such and such a sin?' The man will say, 'Yes, I admit it.' The Lord will say, 'I concealed it for you in the world and I forgive you for it today.' "
(Bukhaari, Muslim).

And Abu Hurrah radhi Allaahu anhu said:
I heard the Messenger of Allaah (sal Allaahu alayhi wa sallam) say: "All of my ummah will be forgiven except those who sin openly. It is a part of sinning openly when a man does something at night, then the following morning when Allaah has concealed his sin, he says, 'O So and so, I did such and such last night,' when all night his Lord has concealed him and the next morning he uncovers what Allaah had concealed."
(Bukhaari,Muslim)

Be aware of the Greatness of the One against Whom you are sinning, seek forgiveness for your sins, weep for the mistakes of your past ways and adhere strictly to the path of Allaah. And do beware of despairing of the Mercy of Allaah. It is one of the traps of Shaytaan.

"And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord, but those who go astray?"
(Surah al-Hijr:56)
If you hold on to the religion of Allaah, and do your best to obey Him as much as you can, you will have glad tidings of goodness in this world and in the Hereafter.

 Indeed I am near (2:186)

رَبِّ اغْفِرْ وَارْحَم¨ وَأَنْتَ خَيْرُ الرَّاحِ¥ِينَ
My Lord! Forgive and show mercy, for You are the Best of those who show mercy!)"
(Surah al-Mu'minoon :118)
