Hadith of the Week
Narrated Al-Bara, r.a:
The Prophet (ﷺ) ordered us to do seven (things) and
forbade us from seven (other things): He ordered us to pay a
visit to the sick, to follow funeral possessions, to say:
May Allah be merciful to you to a sneezer, - if he says:
Praise be to Allah, to accept invitation (invitation to a
wedding banquet), to return greetings, to help the
oppressed, and to help others to fulfill their oaths
(provided it was not sinful). And he forbade us from seven
(things): to wear golden rings or golden bangles, to wear
silk (cloth), Dibaj, Sundus and Mayathir.

He was one of the leaders of Gaza. He was 38 years old, had
a Masters in Comparative Fiqh, and was a Qur'an reciter. He
was aware of all 10 recitations of the Qur'an.
Rahimahuallah. He also wrote a study, "Negligence in
Jihadist Action: A Comparative Jurisprudential Study." This
tells us that most of our leaders have the faith and the
knowledge and they practiced it. May Allah (SWT) accept him
and accept all of our martyrs. May Allah (SWT) guard and
protect Gaza and Palestine and make them victorious
French hatred.

his release. The final paragraph carries a very special and
deep resonance for me personally.
As I did in my last FB presentation that announced his
release, I again salute those conscious members of the
international community who mustered the courage NOT TO
REMAIN SILENT; even as we acknowledge the fact that the
struggle must continue......

Peace be upon you,
After nine and a half months of imprisonment, I was released
on Friday, November 16, 2018.
I am innocent of all charges against me and will keep on
fighting for my dignity and honor.
The elements of the case, as well as the manner in which the
investigation was conducted confirm that I was kept in
prison for political reasons.
I would like to thank my family for their unwavering support
and my lawyer, Emmanuel Marsigny, for his handling of the
case.
My deep gratitude also goes to all those around the world
who have shown their support with great generosity, patience
and courage, despite the media lynching, the insults and
threats.
Thanks to all of you, from the bottom of my heart. Your
presence has given me strength.
My illness requires medical care that was incompatible with
incarceration. My health condition deteriorated so much
during detention that I am now under intense medical
treatment. It will take time, Insha'Allah.
As I did a year ago prior to my detention, I reiterate my
request to avoid insults and threats against the plaintiffs
and those who support them.
The law and justice will prevail against slander and lies,
without having to lose our calm and serenity.
I thank God for giving me the patience and the strength to
cope with this ordeal and for granting me the courage to
continue this fight to clear my name and for the
manifestation of the truth.
I also have a particular thought for all those incarcerated
who are innocent and ill, who are victims of injustice, not
receiving proper care and are forgotten in prison.

Love of the Prophet, pbuh, drew him!
Despite his serious Surgery, Br. Ali Siddiqui went to a
Program in Memory of the Prophet, pbuh.
It was in Washington, DC at Sakina Halal Grill just a few
blocks away from the White House.
The owner of the restaurant and a well known humanitarian
Pakistani American figure Kazi Mannan hosted a memorable
seerat program in honor of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). It was
my pleasure to speak about *Generosity* an essential aspect
of Sèerat of our beloved Prophet (PBUH). Speakers included
Pir Syed Saqlain, Dr. Hassan Abbas, Allama Usman Khan Noori,
Maulana Tariq Mehmood Jami. Hafiz Saèed was MC while Br Asad
Kamal, Br. Zulqarnain and others recited Naat to express
their love. I was delighted to see Honorable Br. Ali
Siddiqui attending Milad Sharif as a special guest in spite
of his ailing condition. Br. Ali went through a major
surgery last week...Alhamdolillah he is speedily
recovering.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
Against men by their Wives!

There had been 55 cases of men reporting domestic violence
against them by their wives between January 2017 and now as
against 14 that was recorded last year.
Between January and September 2017, a total of 852 cases of
domestic violence and related cases were recorded in Lagos
State. There were 564 domestic violence cases, 60 defilement
cases, 30 rape cases, 11 attempted rape,123 child neglect
and abuse cases, and 84 other cases .
This is contained in a report of Premium Times, quoting the
Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice of Lagos State,
Adeniyi Kazeem. Kazeem was also reported to have said that
the data revealed that most sexual assault cases were
perpetrated in the afternoon during weekdays, while
corroborating that the victims know 95 per cent of the
perpetrators of sexual violence.
Mr. Kazeem, according to Premium Times, noted, "under the
year of review, we have witnessed an increase in domestic
violence from Agege, Ikorodu and Oshodi. We have also
witnessed an increase in reporting of cases via telephone
and walk-ins from other states, mostly from Ogun, Osun and
eastern part of the country."
The rate at which young wives are murdering their husbands
in Nigeria lately gets young couple scared of marriage. This
ugly situations do not exclude the Muslim folks at all.
Rather, majority of both victims and assailants are
Muslim.

Let us Understand the Failure of Global Organizations and
Leadership.

The global humanity is continuously oppressed, manipulated
and victimized by the weapons of mass destruction - from
thoughts to all kind of weaponry. Global peace, conflict
management and security are neglected by those who were
responsible for its protection and maintenance. Everything
thinkable appears to be falling into dereliction and wanton
destruction only to be reported as non-living statistic. The
UNO Secretary General and most global leaders are entrapped
lacking reasoned persuasion and activism to make peace and
usher global harmony. They operate in a vicious circle of
making statements, tweets and speculative wishful overtures
as if the whole of mankind was inept and inattentive to the
catastrophic challenges of the day.
Good judgments seek honesty of purpose, courage and rational
thinking. When leaders talk about the emerging conflicts and
human tragedies, they pretend as if none had ever happened
before; as if they never opened the pages of history.
History offers lessons to all generations all the time.
Human perpetuated tyranny according to late Professor Howard
Zinn is "tyranny." Insanity has no alternative rationale.
Look how the UNO leadership and most global politicians
witness transgression, forcible displacement and killing of
millions and millions across Syria, Iraq, Palestine, Libya,
Myanmar (Burma) and now Yemen but do nothing except put
forward the fake UN-SC resolutions and dubious statements
about crimes against humanity. The victimized mankind shares
a sense of disarray and the loss of being part of global
humanity. A view from afar only asserts conspicuous examples
of inhumanity flourishing everywhere and seeing the
proliferation of anarchy, violations of basic human rights
and dignity, use of chemical weapons, and civilian
massacres, but nobody questions why this now after the Two
World Wars? Typical "Right Men" of the 21st century are
unchallenged for torture, killing of the innocents, war
crimes and genocide. The UNO Fact-finding Mission released
the findings after 700,000 Rohingas were forcibly evicted
from their homes; 20,000 men, women and children massacred
and 10,000 women raped by the Myanmar armies. Would the
Myanmar Generals be prosecuted during the lifetime of the
victims? Almost 3 million civilians were killed by the
US-British forces in Iraq. Nobody called it genocide by Bush
and Blair. Both are free and enjoying life. Several millions
have been displaced and killed in Syria - who will punish
that authoritarian tyranny and insanity?
The UNO, global leaders and related organizations, are all
attempting to rapidly transform humanity into a One World
reality living on One Planet with inseparable identities and
relationship to the Nature of Things. They should have been
vigilant to "safeguard the mankind from the scourge of war."
Global political affairs are not managed by rational people,
with rational thinking, doing the rational practices for the
interests of global citizenry. Rather the 1% global elite -
men who think themselves kings operating the international
institutions - the perverted insanity lacking basic
understanding of Human Nature and of the working of the
splendid Universe in which we enjoy coherent co-existence.
Mankind continues to be run down by the cancerous ego and
cruelty of the few Western leaders and institutions like
NATO and NORAD.
Most global leaders represent a cruel mindset incapable of
seeing the human side of living conscience. The madness of
the perpetual war on terrorism and its triggered insanity
knows no bounds across the global spectrum. Under the false
pretext of terrorism, Western allies along with Arab
leaders, bombed and destroyed the ancient culture and people
of the Arab world. Animals do not commit massacre on their
kind and other species, nor set-up rape camps for the war
victims, the Western led wars against humanity have and
continue to do so on an unparalleled global scale without
being challenged by any global organizations or leaders.
Torture and massacres of innocent civilians seem to be fun
games to be defined as "collateral damage" and a statistic.
Perhaps, they view humanity just in digits and numbers, not
as the living entities with social, moral, spiritual and
intellectual values and progressive agendas for change and
development. Einstein ("The World as I see it"), made it
known that he was against military campaigns, killing and
destruction of the natural environment: "This topic brings
me to that worst outcrop of herd life, the military system,
which I abhor... This plague-spot of civilization ought to
be abolished with all possible speed. Heroism on command,
senseless violence, and all the loathsome nonsense that goes
by the name of patriotism — how passionately I hate
them!."
The Lessons of History Cannot Be Ignored
In his internationally acclaimed classic work A History of
the Intellectual Development of Europe (NY Harper Brothers,
1864), Professor John W. Drapper, of the University of New
York portrayed the human development process as "man is
being treated as an individual" and not an embodiment of
collective transformation leading past immersion into making
of the present - and the present unfolding the future.
Humanity is a helpless victim in a world divided for the
purpose of socio-economic and political hegemonic controls
by the few egoistic political entities. There are no
conscientious leaders accountable to the interests of
humanity. Ironically, with time and opportunities on their
side, politically recognized leading powers at the UN
Security Council forum failed to usher in a new era of
change and peaceful co-existence. If the human developmental
progress is viewed in an historical mirror, Professor
Drapper makes a candid observation: "that it is a history of
the progress of ideas and opinions from a point of view
heretofore almost entirely neglected." All political actors
claim to be working for mankind. Yet, few could relate
themselves to the people if a reality check is applied by
critical analysts. One cannot glorify the insanity of the
past - the Two World Wars which consumed untold planned
bloodbaths and countless pains and sufferings of the world.
The question is how to extract ourselves from the sadistic
past into a promising future?
Mankind Looks to People with New Ideas, Visions and
Responsible Leadership
Mankind is constantly victimized by the willful deceit and
triumphalism of the few who use extreme rhetoric of peace
and harmony but deliver nothing except self-serving
fantasies and neglect of prevalent truth. They embrace
dishonesty of purpose by wasting time and opportunities that
could have been used for positive developments to change the
distorted scene of the global politics. Reason makes no
difference to their immature mindset and their human
conscience is filled with follies of political manipulation
and exploitation of the humanity. The essence of global
peace and harmony lies in collective thinking and unity of
the global mankind.
Bombs and wars kill people - living human beings —
destroying humanity by enforcing barbarism and cruelty,
practically denying all prospects of peace and co-existence.
Traditional wars were aimed at annihilation of political and
economic enemies, but the 21st century conflicts are
ready-made recipes not only to eliminate the mankind but
also the environment in which human beings survive and the
Planet Earth that sustains life. Wars appear to be the
outcome of sinister minds, devilish individual plans and
monstrous scheme of things against the very humanity of
which these people are a living part. Like always, few
cynical and mentally imbalanced people plan and wage wars
against others, not mindful of the dreadful end results of
their intrigues and conspiracies against life, human rights
and dignity and futuristic possibilities of human survival
on the planet.
Global Warlords are haunting mankind because wars are a
racketeering enterprise. Most superpowers are engaged in
selling weaponry to the Middle East dictators and warlords.
History will judge them by their actions, not by their
claims. You cannot change a society with law and order
dictum. When a problem is misunderstood, its diagnostic
approach will be wrong. An out of the official box approach
to understand the problem is urgently needed. The major news
media corporations in North America and Western Europe are
aligned to the establishments and tainted with biased
coverage as they get paid via ads and secret dealings. None
of this is helpful to foster change and societal advancement
for a peaceful future. Mankind looks for change in strategic
thinking and actions. "In the name of "System Change, Not
Climate Change", points out Paul Street ("For Intelligent
Civilizations on Earth") "we can rescue and preserve
humanity and livable ecology through mass resistance and a
revolutionary transformation that takes us beyond the
world's unelected and interrelated dictatorships of money,
profit, empire, and eco-cide."
Aggressive thinking is propagated, echo of peace is
silenced. Global peace requires People of New Ideas, new
Thinking and New Visions. In a political culture much
charged by conscious intransigence of the few, America and
Europe are fearful of the unknown and have no vision for
peace and co-existence either in the region or in a global
context. NATO will go anywhere anytime under fair or foul
pretexts. It has no accountability to anybody anywhere.
Peace and security are not one sided pursuits nor can be
experimented in a lab. There are many who could do a better
and more productive leadership in the current global
affairs. The Western leaders must embrace Russia on equal
terms to envisage a new world of peace and harmony. Russia
is no longer a former USSR but a changing landscape of
reason and responsibility and gradually moving forward for a
representative system of public governance. If that was not
the case, how could Trump and Putin have met and strike an
accord. Accords are based on mutual respect and
understanding. America and Russia both need to change their
policies and practices for a coherent future. Both
desperately need to be proactive, culturally conscientious
and intellectual unbiased leaders who should see the bigger
picture of futuristic world - a different world of tomorrow
of peace and co-existence rather than perpetuated animosity
and extreme naïve belligerent behaviors, leaders who will
serve the people and could learn to make a navigational
change and adaptability to the making of a promising future
for all the mankind. Mankind needs morally, spiritually and
intellectually responsible leadership. All absolute rulers
and leaders tried to run down the mankind as if it was a
number- a digit and non-living statistic. But all of them
fell in disgrace destroying their own nations and
empires.

PAKISTAN
Imran Khan regime
took Maulana Khadim Hussain Rizvi by surprise.
On November 23, regime of Khan launched security operations
against the entire leadership group of Maulana Rizvi, the
leader of the anti-blasphemy movement. Among those arrested
was the firebrand Maulana Qadri from Lahore. It appears that
the police beat him up.
Hundreds of people came out to protest on November 24 but
were attacked by police in large numbers. Many were arrested
and others injured.
As the Khan attack was only on Rizvi, other Islamic groups
were not able to mobilize in time to stop the arrests.
On November 25, Islamic groups defeated Imran Khan at his
own game. Hundreds of thousands of people rallied in the
inland city of Sukkur to condemn the secularist attempt to
protect blasphemy. [Many came from other cities.]
Looks like it will be a long winter.
Jamaate Islami has been slow to respond. JI is always
worried that there might be some violence and JI would be
blamed.
Imran Khan is very cleverly supporting the western powers.
His situation now is that blasphemer has been released and
the anti-blasphemy leader Maulana Rizvi is in prison.
Maulana Rizvi is a great scholar of the Qur'an and the
hadith and knows the ENTIRE poetry of Allama Iqbal from
memory. He is fearless and will emerge victorious against
Imran Khan inshaAllah.
Mass Suffering of the poor & lower Middle Class in Karachi.
Nov. 25.
Hafiz Naeemur Rahman, ameer of Jamaate Islami for Karachi,
in a wide ranging analysis uncovered the shocking government
activity against small shop keepers in the central area of
Karachi known as Empress Market.
Naeemur Rahman pointed out that 6000 small structures have
been demolished by the regime leaving 50,000 people without
jobs and livelihood. As each of these 50,000 have several
family members, this rash move is bound to have far reaching
results in suffering of the people.
No warning was given, no compensation and no alternatives
though the small shop keepers had established themselves
there for several decades..
Hafiz Naeem is inviting a gathering of the displaced people
to look for a just solution.

Spillover from Conflict in Syria and China.
On November 23, an attack on the Chinese
Consulate in Karachi's elite Clifton area left two police
officers and two business men killed. The three attackers
were killed after a one hour gun battle with an alert
security unit. A female officer of the Karachi police is
being praised for the quick response.
[China has interned about a million Muslims into camps in
Sinkiang province where they are denied the right to worship
or to have a copy of the Qur'an. In typical Communist
fashion, the entire Muslim population is being "re-educated"
to leave Islam. Gradually the horrible conditions of Muslims
are being leaked out of Sinkiang.]
The second attack on November 23 was in lower Orakzai
district on Pakistan's fronntier with Afghanistan. Reports
indicate that shias were targeted: 33 were killed and 50
injured.
Pakistanis do not want to hurt Shias, so why this horror? It
appears that Shias in Pakistan have been sending men to
Syria to help Assad, the dictator of Syria, in his genocide
against Muslims [about 300,000 Sunni Muslim men, women and
children have been killed. ]
Nigeria
Army Hit hard by Islamic fighters in Borno State
November 24. According to the BBC, for the
first time the Nigerian army is admitting that it has been
hit hard b y Islamic fighters in the northeastern state of
Borno.
The military is refusing to admit how many of its troops
were killed. Other sources indicate how serious are the
losses:
Reuters news agency quoted an army officer as saying earlier
this week: "The insurgents took us unawares. We lost about
100 soldiers. It is a huge loss."
The group which is attacking the army is said to be an
affiliate of the Islamic State [IS].
The Nigerian army has committed genocidal actions against
Islamic people in the north known as Boko Haram. The army
murdered the leader of the Islamic group and hundreds of his
supporters while they were prisoners. Tanks were sent into
mosques.
Amnesty International has documented killing of hundreds of
women and children by the army because they were related to
Boko Haram.
The result of the army's atrocities has been that a sizable
segment of Boko Haram is reported to have joined the Islamic
State [IS}.
Panic in Afghanistan
November 24. Southeastern Khost province.
Regime troops who had gathered for ;prayers were struck by
a bomb attack and lost 27 killed and many injured. {Taliban
claim troops supporting NATO are "apostates."
November 20. Kabul.
A gathering of religious clerics supporting the regime and
carrying out sectarian religious activity were struck by a
human bomber from Islamic State. Reuters is reporting 50
killed, 80 injured.
November 24.Kandahar province.
US is reporting one of its troops has been killed in
Afghanistan.
This year 95 US troops were hit by Taliban but were wounded,
not killed, owing to body armor.
A Kabul regime helicopter was hit by Taliban and burst into
flames when it crashed, killing 2 regime officers in it and
wounding two others..
Taliban who had started meeting with and talking to
Americans are now saying, again, that as long as even one US
soldier remains in Afghanistan, there will be no peace
talks.
Observers say the stiffening Taliban position is owing to
growing numbers of Taliban who are leaving and joining
Islamic State fighters.
Syria
SDF Forced to retreat from al-Tank. US bombing IS
families.
New Russian Air Strikes on fake Allegations.
November 25. At Al-Tank Oil field. SDF Kurds and their
western allies are in full retreat after heavy fighting with
the Islamic State. Fifty three Islamic State fighters are
reported killed in the clashes while 79
SDF Kurds were killed, forcing the Kurds to retreat. IS has
captured 18 SDF troops and executed oe SDF for crimes
against IS civilians.
US air force continued to bomb IS enclaves on the eastern
banks of the southern Euphrates killing 5 children, 4 women
and 5 men.
November 24. ISIS fighters lauched an audacious attack on
SDF forces in al-Bahra town killing 24 SDF. The fog helped
IS to attack without being targeted by the US air force. By
the time the US bombing began, IS fighters had left the
target area.
November 25. Assad's artillery is shelling Al-Hbit town in
southern Idlib position and Jarjanaz town west of Idlib
province. Six Islamic towns in northwestern countryside of
Hama were also shelled by Assad's artillery.
For the first time in November Russian air strikes hit
Islamic positions on the western and southwestern sides of
Aleppo city. The Russians clam that mortars from mujahideen
groups hit the western side of Aleppo and allegedly caused
several civilians to suffocate owing to poison gas. The
mujahideen have categorically rejected this claim.
At late news, Assad's artillery shelled Lataminah and other
towns in northern Hama province. Mujahideen retaliated with
mortars against a small regime held town.
Novaya Gazeta reported that 6 Russian mercenaries of the
private group Wagner have been killed recently while
fighting mujahideen in Syria.
[US is again denying that it killed any civilians while
bombing IS.]
Iraq
Fighting is reported near Mosul and in Diyala province as
well as in Anbar province.
IS is carrying out hit and run attacks.
US has carried out an air strike.
Regime jets provided by the US bombed IS across the border
in Syria.

Mexican National who took refuge in a Church for 11 Months
Arrested along with Protestors
Nov. 23
RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — An immigrant who sought refuge
from deportation in a North Carolina church for 11 months
was detained Friday at a scheduled appointment with
immigration officials, prompting more than a dozen
supporters to block a law enforcement van and wind up under
arrest themselves.
Mexican national Samuel Oliver-Bruno, 47, was detained at a
Raleigh-area immigration office, according to a U.S.
Immigration and Customs enforcement news release.
The advocacy group Alerta Migratoria NC said in a statement
that Oliver-Bruno went to have fingerprints taken so he
could apply to stay in North Carolina with his wife and son.
He has been living in CityWell United Methodist Church in
Durham since late 2017 to avoid the reach of immigration
officers, who generally avoid making arrests at churches and
other sensitive locations .
ICE said Oliver-Bruno, who has lived in North Carolina for
two decades, had no legal basis to be in the U.S. and had
exhausted his "extensive" appeals. Oliver-Bruno pleaded
guilty in 2014 to using false documents to try to re-enter
the U.S. in Texas after a trip outside the country,
according to court documents.
Church fire leads to discovery of illegal gambling room
inside the Church!
Houston, Texas: Firefighters responding to reports of an
electrical fire at a Houston church found no signs of a
blaze, but instead discovered an illegal game room inside,
authorities said.
Four people were found Friday trapped inside a room
containing 100 gambling machines at the Word of Life Church,
KHOU-TV reported.
The person who reported the fire told authorities he was
locked in by an electronic door lock, KTRK-TV reported.
Harris County Sheriff's deputies led several people out of
the building in handcuffs but later released them. One
person was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

Ignored by ICNA-ISNA during his life. "used" and Misused
After he Passed.

Br. Shamim passed away in Long Island, New York on November 21. My condolences go to his family.
Through the last 25 years of his life, he pleaded and preached to the Muslims of America to create an Islamic movement.
Like many other innocent Muslims, he aligned himself with ICNA and ISNA. For a whole decade he tried to change them into a genuine Islamic groups but finally realized that they were not going to give up their ties with the White House, the Pentagon and the FBI.
Then he found that our Jamaat al-Muslimeen was more open to his message than any other groups. We exchanged hundreds of emails in many of which he supported me against anti-Islam and munafiq groups.
Under my influence, he started writing on risky topics, for instance in opposition to American policies in the Middle East and Pakistan.
He was turning away so much from ICNA-ISNA that he became critical of Jamaate Islami Pakistan itself, the originator of these groups.
For decades the scoundrels in ICNA ISNA did not support Shamim. They relish telling lies and now ICNA has issued a statement claiming that he was one of them. Don't forget that ICNA admitted, that like ISNA it had been in bed with the FBI for decades.
When America was bombing Iraq, the President of ICNA, was sent on a global mission to improve America's image among Muslims. At times he stayed at American embassies [see his resume which he proudly published] .
Shamim was such a positivist that he wished for decades that Siraj Wahhaj would come back to the Islamic cause. This is the Siraj Wahhaj who betrayed the Blind Shaikh and helped a Jewish judge to sentence him to life in prison where he died in great misery.

The Style and Stance of the Prophet, pbuh, in his
Khutbas

The Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) gave speeches
while standing on the ground, on the 'Minbar' (pulpit) and
while riding his camel whether or not the camel was male or
female.
When he gave speeches, his eyes would turn red, his voice
would become loud and he would become angry, as if he was
announcing an invading army and saying to his people,
"The invaders will attack in the morning or the
evening."
he used to say.... 'As for the Last Hour, I was sent like
these two', and he pointed with his index and middle
fingers. [Al-Bukhari].
he used to say, 'Amma Ba'du' (afterwards, here is what I
want to say). Surely, the best speech is Allah's Book and
the best guidance is the guidance of Muhammad. Verily, the
worst matters are matters of innovations (in the religion,
the Bid'ah), and every Bid'ah is a Dhalalah (sin, or
heresy)."[1]
When the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) gave a
speech, he started it by praising and thanking Allah (Azza
Wa jal) ....
As for the statement some scholars of Fiqh [2] utter, that
the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) used to start the
Istisqa [3] Prayer by invoking Allah (Azza wajal) for
forgiveness and the speeches of the two 'Eids [4 by reciting
Takbir [5].
They have no established 'Sunnah' collected from the Prophet
(sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) that supports their statement.
To the contrary the Prophet's practical 'Sunnah' does not
support their statements, because he used to start his
speeches by thanking and praising Allah (Azza wajal) .
The Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) used to stand up
while giving 'Khutbah' (speech).
There is a Mursa [6] statement collected from 'Ata that
when the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) ascended the
pulpit, he faced the people and said....
"As-Salamu 'Alaikum" (peace be to you)." [7] Ash-Shi'bi
added that Abu Bakr and Umar
(may Allah be pleased with them both) used to do the same
[8].
The Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) used to end his
Khutbah, by invoking Allah (Azza wajal) for forgiveness. He
would often recite parts of the 'Qur'an' within his speech.
For instance, Muslim narrated in his, 'Sahih', that Um
Hisham bint Harithah said....
"I only learned Surat,"Qaf. By the Glorious Qur'an" [9],
from the Prophet's tongue;
he used to recite it every 'Jumuah' (Friday), while
standing on the pulpit addressing the people."
The Prophet's speeches contained Allah's praise and
glorification, by mentioning His Favors and the Attributes
of His Perfect Being, Worthy of all praise. He used to teach
the fundamentals of Islam, mention Paradise, Hellfire and
Resurrection, enjoin fear of Allah (Azza wajal) and mention
the paths that earn His Anger or Pleasure. These were the
subjects entailed in the Prophet's speeches. He also used to
say in his speeches....
"O, people! You cannot implement all of what you were
commanded. Therefore, strive hard (do correct actions) and
receive the glad tidings." [10]
He used to address issues that suited the needs and that
would benefit those listening to his speeches. He always
started his 'Khutbah' by praising Allah (Azza wajal) and
reciting the Two Testimonials, mentioning his own name while
reciting them [11].
He used to say.... "Every Khutbah that does not start with
the 'Tashahhud' (Two Testimonials), is like the leprous
hand." [12]

[Shaikh Wahby said, "Refer to, I-Musannaf, by ibn Abi
Shaibah (2:114), and, al-Ajwibah an-Nafiah, by al-Albani
(Pg. 58)"]
[Surah 50]. These letters (Qaf, etc.) are one of the
miracles of the Qur'an, and none but Allah (Alone) knows
their meanings]
[Ahmad ibn Hanbal collected this authentic Hadith in
his book, al-Musnad. Also, Abu Dawood collected this Hadith,
in his Sunan; refer to Sunan Abu Dawood (971)]
[The Two Testimonials, or ash-Shahadatan, is in
reference to the statement of Tauhid, amouncing that there
is no deity worthy of worship, except Allah (azza wajal) ,
and that Muhammad is Allah's slave and Messenger. When one
declares the Shahadatain, he becomes a Muslim earning all
the rights of Muslims and having to abide by the
implications of these Testimonials and the laws of
Islam.]
[Ahmad, Abu Dawood and Tirmidhi collected this Hadith;
refer to, Sabih Sunan Abu Dawood (971)]
