Islam does not teach us to fight Christians, Jews or people of any other religion but to fight back if they attack us.

We are against all oppressors even if they claim to be Muslims. There is no place for dictatorship in Islam.

Women are central to the Muslim Ummah and we are urged to oppose those who oppress women.

Lgbtq are not accepted in Islam but we do not confront them if they don't confront us. Sexuality must be kept very private.

Bodies of teenage Dalit sisters found hanging from tree in India

Police say the two minors were gang raped and then hung from a tree in Uttar Pradesh state, adding that six suspects have been arrested.

There is uproar in India after the bodies of two sisters belonging to the marginalised Dalit community were found hanging from a tree in the northern Uttar Pradesh state.

Police suspect the two girls, aged 15 and 17, were gang raped and murdered in the Lakhimpur Kheri district. Six accused men have been arrested.

Sanjeev Suman, the police chief in Lakhimpur Kheri, told reporters the two minors, residents of Tamoli Purva village in the district, were lured to a nearby field on Wednesday afternoon and allegedly raped by the accused.

"The men allegedly strangulated them with their scarf and hung them from a tree. The investigation is on," he said.

Dalits, formerly referred to as the "untouchables", fall at the bottom of India's complex caste system. For centuries, they have been victims of discrimination and persecution by privileged caste groups despite laws in place for their protection.

Ram Gautam, the uncle of the girls and a construction worker in Lakhimpur Kheri, said the family is waiting for a postmortem report.

"We are shocked. The younger one was a high school student and the older one was a school dropout," he told Al Jazeera.

On Wednesday, the residents of Tamoli Purva village blocked roads in protest against the gang rape and killing of the two Dalit sisters.

India has fallen six positions on the 2022 Global Hunger Index (GHI), ranking 107th out of 121 countries in a report published on Friday.

Asia's third-largest economy fared worse than other South Asian countries such as Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. This was the third straight year in which India's ranking on the scale fell - it previously ranked 101 in 2021, and 94 in 2020.

Sikh Family Murdered in California.
Baby left to die on the ground.

[CNN Oct 14]

The Merced County District Attorney's Office on Monday filed four counts of first-degree murder with special circumstances against a California truck driver, Jesus Manuel Salgado, 48, who is accused of kidnapping and killing four family members, including an 8-month-old girl, from their trucking business a week ago.

Salgado's arraignment scheduled for Monday was postponed after he told Merced County Superior Court Judge Paul Lo via a Zoom call that he needed "a couple of months" to find his own attorney instead of using a court-appointed public defender. Lo rescheduled the arraignment for Thursday to allow Salgado a few more days, not months, to hire an attorney.

Salgado was booked into the Merced County Jail on Oct. 6, two days after he was arrested, but he was transported to an area hospital after attempting suicide, according to the sheriff's office.

Merced County Sheriff Vern Warnke said during a news conference that a farmworker found the bodies of 8-month-old Aroohi Dheri; her mother, Jasleen Kaur, 27; father, Jasdeep Singh, 36; and uncle, Amandeep Singh, 39; in an almond orchard near Dos Palos, California, around 5:30 p.m. PDT on Oct. 5.

We Stand with Uighur Chinese Muslims
Biden and Erdogan failed.

"President Biden's speech at the U.N. General Assembly was weak; he failed to effectively highlight and condemn China's ongoing genocide against Uyghurs, Kazakhs, Kyrgyz, and other Turkic peoples in East Turkistan," said Prime Minister Salih Hudayar of the East Turkistan Government in Exile. "We plead with the U.S. Government to take stronger actions to end China's ongoing genocide by bringing East Turkistan to the agenda of the U.N. Security Council and tabling a resolution at the U.N. General Assembly."

Although "violations" in "Xinjiang" was mentioned, President Biden failed to call out China's genocide in East Turkistan explicitly.

Furthermore, President Biden did not clarify the specific ethnic groups facing genocide and other crimes against humanity, particularly the Uyghurs.

In January 2021, the U.S. State Department under the Trump Administration officially designated China's atrocities against Uyghur, Kazakh, Kyrgyz, and other Turkic peoples as genocide. The designation was continued under the Biden Administration, with U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken reaffirming the U.S. stance on China's actions in East Turkistan.

"The global East Turkistani diaspora is greatly disheartened by President Biden's failure to adequately address the ongoing humanitarian crisis in East Turkistan at the U.N. General Assembly," said President Ghulam Yaghma of the East Turkistan Government in Exile. "We call on ALL nations to cease downplaying China's ongoing genocide against Uyghurs and other Turkic peoples in Occupied East Turkistan as mere "human rights violations."

Yesterday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made brief comments on the issue of Uyghurs during his speech addressing the U.N. General Assembly. He stated, "we are sensitive to the protection of the fundamental rights and freedoms of Muslim Uyghur Turks, without harming China's territorial integrity, understanding of one China and sovereignty rights."

President Erdogan's speech supporting the so-called One China policy and so-called "territorial integrity" was perceived as damaging East Turkistan's struggle to regain independence and was subsequently condemned by the global East Turkistani diaspora.

"We strongly condemn Turkish President Erdogan's damaging statement at the U.N. General Assembly," said Vice President Abdulahat Nur of the East Turkistan Government in Exile. "East Turkistan is an Occupied Country; restoring East Turkistan's rightful independence is the only way to ensure the existence, fundamental rights, and freedoms of Uyghurs and other Turkic peoples."

The East Turkistan Government in Exile has long been calling on the Member States of the United Nations, the U.N. Human Rights Council, and the U.N. Security Council to intervene and end China's ongoing campaign of genocide in East Turkistan, which started in May 2014.

On October 13, 1949, the Chinese Communist People's Liberation Army invaded East Turkistan and overthrew the independent East Turkistan Republic on December 22, 1949.
