Qur'an {Entire belief system in one verse]

(2:177) Righteousness does not consist in turning your faces towards the east or towards the west; true righteousness consists in believing in Allah and the Last Day, the angels, the Book and the Prophets, and in giving away one's property in love of Him to one's kinsmen, the orphans, the poor and the wayfarer, and to those who ask for help, and in freeing the necks of captives , and in establishing Prayer and dispensing the Zakah. True righteousness is attained by those who are faithful to their promise once they have made it and by those who remain steadfast in adversity and affliction and at the time of battle (between Truth and falsehood). Such are the truthful ones; such are the God-fearing.

Some scholars translate captives as slaves. That is a gross error. Islam does not allow slaves at all. Ma malakut imanu kum are captives, not slaves.

Prison Strike Leader Moved to Infirmary after Twenty Four Days Refusing Food.

Siddique Abdullah Hasan, a national prisoner leader has been on hunger strike since Monday, February 27th. On Friday, March 24th he was moved to the infirmary, presumably due to failing health. His appeal to the Rules Infraction Board (RIB) was also denied by Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (ODRC) Director Gary Mohr.

The administration at Ohio State Penitentiary (OSP) has been targeting and restricting Hasan's communication access on any pretense they can find or invent since his outspoken support for the nation-wide prisoner strike on September 9th of 2016.

Hasan and another prisoner, Jason Robb began refusing food when the OSP administration put them on a 90 day communication restriction for being interviewed by the Netflix documentary series Captives. Hasan appealed the RIB's decision, arguing that they violated policies regarding timelines, access to witnesses, and prisoners' due process rights. Director Mohr's response to the appeal was a form letter that did not address any of the issues Hasan raised.

Hasan and Robb are on death row and have been held in solitary confinement since the 1993 prison uprising in Lucasville. They believe that the ODRC and the Ohio State prosecutors targeted them after the uprising because of their role in negotiating a peaceful surrender. State officials, in both the Captives documentary and a 2013 documentary called The Shadow of Lucasville, have admitted that some prisoners were given deals to testify against Hasan, Robb and others, and that no one really knows who committed the most serious crimes during the uprising. In court, they argued the opposite to secure death penalty convictions.

The Lucasville Uprising prisoners have been fighting to tell their story for decades, and are currently suing the ODRC over an unconstitutional media blockade, which the Captives documentary crew circumvented by unofficially recording video visits with Hasan and Robb. The current hunger strike is part of an ongoing struggle for equal protection, basic human rights and survival after decades of living under the most restrictive and torturous conditions of confinement at OSP, Ohio's supermax prison.

Supporters are asking people to please call Director Gary Mohr at 614-387-0588 or email him at drc.publicinfo@odrc.state.oh.us as well as Northeast Regional Director Todd Ishee, 330-797-6398. Pakistan Must Help Baluchistan
by Faisal Sharif

LAHORE: Dec 29: Jamaat-e-Islami emir Sirajul Haq has rejected the buzz about installing a technocrat caretaker setup for a year or more as a joke and said the elections are the only way forward to put the country on track.

Addressing a press conference at Mansoorah on Thursday, he emphasized the need for electoral reforms before the polls. He added elections without reforms will further the crises.

The JI chief expressed solidarity with the people of Balochistan and condemned the police crackdown on the Gwadar sit-in. He announced the JI will mark Friday as the day of solidarity with Balochistan. He said the propaganda was being spread that the Gwadar sit-in was against the CPEC.

"I want to make it clear that CPEC is crucial for the development of Pakistan, and the JI is fully supporting the project."

Residents of Gwadar had been demanding their rights even before the idea of CPEC, he said, adding the government should listen to their demands and hold dialogue with them. The JI, he said, has never supported violence in politics.

Haq said the country was paying the price of the ill-conceived policies of the PDM, the PPP and the PTI governments. He said the law-and-order situation worsened in KPK while the sense of deprivation among the people of Balochistan was at its peak, Punjab was facing political crises, and floods brought the worst crisis in Sindh. Amid the overall situation, he said, the federal and provincial governments were in deep slumber. Their only concern, he added, was the protection of self-interests. The ruling elite consisted of landlords and imperialists was least bothered about the problems of the common man, he said. The mafias were ruling over the country and they lied to the people, he said.

The JI, said Haq, wanted free and fair polls without any interference from institutions. He said the Election Commission should be financially and administratively independent, and elections should be held on the principle of proportional representation. He said people must reject the tested parties and vote for the JI for corruption-free Islamic welfare Pakistan.

Guidance from Sis. Yasmin

'Assalam Alaikum Wa Rehmath Ullahi Wa Barkatahu'.

The Great Challenge to Produce
One {1} Chapter Like the Chapters
of the Holy Qur`an.

Allah has said in the Qur`an...

'And if you are in doubt about what
We have revealed
(the Qur`an) to Our worshiper (Muhammad ),
then produce a chapter like it, and call your witnesses (supporters and helpers)
besides God if you are truthful.
And if you do not do it, and you can Never do it !

then fear the Fire (Hell) whose fuel is men and stones.
It has been prepared for disbelievers.
And give good news O Muhammad
to those who believe
and do good deeds, that for them are gardens (Paradise)
in which rivers flow...'

[Source~ Qur`an~Surat Al-Baqarah (The Cow) -2 ~A# 23-25 ]

Ever since the Qur`an was revealed,
fourteen centuries ago, no one has been able
to produce a single chapter
like the chapters of the Quran in their
Beauty,
Eloquence,
Splendor,
Wise Legislation,
True Information,
True Prophecy,
and other perfect attributes.
{'Alhamdullilah'}

Also, note that the smallest chapter in the Qur`an
(Chapter #108) is only ten words,
yet no one has ever
been able to meet this challenge, then or today.

Some of the disbelieving Arabs who were enemies of the Prophet Muhammad tried to meet this challenge to prove that Muhammad
was not a true prophet,
but they failed to do so. This failure was despite
the fact that the Qur`an was revealed in their own language and dialect and that the Arabs
at the time of Muhammad were a very
eloquent people who used to compose
beautiful and excellent
poetry, that is still read and appreciated today !

The smallest chapter in the Holy Qur`an (Chapter # 108)
is only ten words, yet no one has ever been able to meet the
challenge to produce one chapter like
the chapters of the Holy Qur`aan.

Editorial

Shirk [associating others with Allah] closes off Human creativity and endeavor.

A widespread weakness of Muslims is that they want others than Allah to help them by spiritual intercession. They call on saints to invoke Allah on their behalf. They want intercession by humans, both by alive and sometimes dead human beings.

Somehow they refuse to study what Allah says in the Qur'an: [See sura Nisa 48]

Reward and punishment will be in the Hereafter.
In this world we are supposed to follow the mission brought by the Prophet Muhammad, pbuh and the prophets before him..
  1. Oneness of the Creator and the oneness of humanity.
  2. Opposing oppression, exploitation and tyranny of all kinds.
  3. Study the creation and come up with solutions making the world a better place.
  4. Research against disease, poverty and wastefulness.
  5. Prayers are meant to cleanse ourselves and make ourselves better human beings
  6. Stop waiting for saviors. Each one of us is accountable for what we do.
