A Challenge to Mr. O'Reilly: Factual Errors about
Dr. Omar 'Abdel Rahman
& Lynne Stewart
Dear Mr. O'Reilly
Re: your show of February 17, 2005
I am encouraged to write to you because you permitted Judge Andrew
Napolitano to come on your show and point out the unconstitutionality
and probable illegality of the special order [SAM] which imposed
silence on Shaikh Omar 'Abdel Rahman and his attorney Lynne Stewart.
However, you are dead wrong in your assumption that Dr. Omar was
behind the first World Trade Center bombing. The defendants in the
WTC bombing case were sentenced on March 4, 1994. Jury selection in
the case of the Dr Omar [also known as the blind shaikh] began on
January 9, 1995 and opening statements were made in the case on
Jan. 30, 1995.
You called him "a killer." He was not accused of killing anyone. It was
a case of alleged "conspiracy" concocted by the FBI on the word of
one FBI agent who was paid $1,000,000 to entrap the Shaikh.
The Shaikh belongs to the
pre-9.11
era. He NEVER urged his followers to attack
America.
I would challenge you to bring any such verifiable statement
issued by him. I hope you are not confusing him with Osama. The
only thing the two have in common is that their names begin with
the letter O. I hope that is not grounds in your ideology for conviction.
You should urge Washington, DC to release the blind Shaikh so that
the rule of law may be restored to America. It is a stain on America's
justice system that a man of God, blind, diabetic and unable to
speak English, is being held in solitary confinement as a "terrorist"
because he opposes the murderous pro-U.S. regime in
Egypt.
Sincerely
Kaukab Siddique, Ph.D.

Muslim Woman Stabs the Heart of Russian Special Forces Leadership
To all Muslims!...
To all those who failed to fulfill their duties to their
brothers and sisters in Chechnya!...
To all those who waste their time with worldly exploits while
Muslims are slaughtered in Chechnya and other parts of the
world.
Take heed of the message issued by a young Muslim woman who wore
the Hijab and was not even 20 years old, ..whose final words were:
I know what I am doing; Paradise has a price and I hope this will be
the price for Paradise.
Moments later, sister Hawaa Barayev drove a car laden with
explosives through the streets of Alkhan Kala and into a
building that was used by the leadership of Russian Special
Forces in Chechnya.
Russian troops unleashed a hail of fire in an attempt to stop
sister Hawaa, but Allah had chosen to give victory to her and to
her message. She drove the car through the gates and into the
centre of the building. The explosives detonated ripping through
the structure and causing heavy damage.
After the dust settled, 27 Russian soldiers, many of them senior
Special Forces officers, lay dead.
The building used by the Russian Special Forces
was severely damaged, and a Russian army of 270,000
Russians watched helplessly as a female warrior of Allah drove
a knife through the heart of the leadership of Russia's elite forces.
The massive damage to the building and the hundreds of panicky
Russian soldiers who surrounded the structure after the attack
belied official statements that only few soldiers were killed or
wounded in the attack.
Sister Hawaas sacrifice for the sake of Allah and the Muslims is a
warning to the unbelievers not only in Chechnya, but across the world,
that the people of Allah will no longer accept the tyranny of infidels.
It is a warning to all those who think they can commit crimes
against Muslim women and children without being accountable for
such crimes: Hawaa Barayev

CHICAGO CALLING:
IN DEFENSE OF WARD CHURHCHILL
[+ comments on Japanese friends, Lynne,
Lebanon
&
Iran]
In the Name of Allah most Gracious Most Merciful
Quite recently America has re-launched it's war on another fearless
Native-American. IN the past it was Lenord Peltier. Now it is Ward
Churchill. Quite recently the esteemed professor of the University
of Colorado is being attacked for his comments against the War in
Iraq,
Afghanistan,
and the Muslim world. His comments have caused a world of "controversy."
But the fact of the matter is he
simply spoke to the hurt of many Native-Americans.
So General Boykin, Reverend Graham, Jr., Falwell,
FOX News
can say anything evil about
Islam,
but when someone condemns the war machine now some in Colorado is
being bent out of shape ? Read the full text of his speech. Not just
what you want to hear.
http://www.darknightpress.org/index.php?i=news&c=recent&view=9&long=1
So now the old Cowboys and Indian saga continues against the Red
fathers and mothers of our land.
As a
Muslim in America
I would like to ask the University of Colorado what did
Professor Churchill say that was so bad? And how have you addressed
any of the grievances that our esteemed Scholar mentioned?
HAS AMERICA FREED LENORD PELTIER?
HAS AMERICA ADDRESSED REPERATIONS FOR THE NATIVE PEOPLES?
HAS AMERICA APOLOGIZED FOR THE TRAIL OF TEARS?
WHAT ABOUT SANDY CREEK ?
WHAT ABOUT WOUNDED KNEE?
WHAT ABOUT GERONIMO'S SKULL ?
AND
The list goes on
.
As usual some so-called journalists took a few lines out of what he
wrote. From there the stage was set for a professor of Ethics to be
forced to resign his chair position. It is very interesting. Anyone
who is forming views of dissent is being railroaded for no apparent
reason. The ONLY reason is that he might be telling truths which
people don't wish to hear?
Even so We at NEW TREND wish to ask, respectfully and honestly, why is
it that the entire essay was not emphasized? Why was it only certain
portions?
Let us go further to FOX news and the University of Colorado. What is
it to them that a Native-American speaks out to the hurt of so many
people years gone past? We call on Jamaat in CO and the MUSLIMS in CO
to defend our red brother from this modern day lynch pen. The
American Indian Movement
(AIM)
has suffered enough in America. Why don't we take time out and listen
for a change, instead of jumping the gun every time. The DJ's of
Colorado and FOX news should take time to listen and understand what
Mr. Churchill has said so many times.
Don't you think it is time for you to open your mind and listen to a
Native-American ? Who is not afraid of you? What redemption does
America claim if it cannot even listen to an indigenous person of
our land without jumping to conclusions. Those who wish to condemn
him ought to first look in the mirror before anything else.
Since we are talking about the stifling of Native Peoples, let us
once again bring up the subject of Geronimo, something FOX television
has not mentioned. How many years has it been now since the, Apache
people have asked for the skull of the red father? How long has it
been since those who are in authority in America, robbed and
dishonored Geronimo's memory? So it continues ..
JAPANESE-AMERICAN COMMUNITY REMEMBERENCE FOR FEBRUARY 19, 2004
On Sunday, February 13 Chicago's Japanese American community invited
the Muslim community to it's Day of Remembrance. It was to commemorate
the 63rd anniversary of the date when President Franklin Roosevelt
signed Executive Order 9066. This event will be held from 2:00-4:30 PM
at the DePaul University Student Center, 2250 N. Sheffield Avenue,
Chicago. The Chicago Japanese American Historical Society, Chicago
Chapter of the Japanese American Citizens League, and the
Japanese American Service Committee in collaboration with
Silk Road Theatre Project and DePaul University will present a
staged reading of Chay Yew's "Question 27, Question 28," a
documentary theater piece that tells the story of the World War II
evacuation and internment of Japanese Americans as experienced by women.
Following the reading, there will be an opportunity for discussion
with playwright Chay Yew. This event is free and open to the public.
THE WORLD MUSLIMS ARE LIVING IN NOW.
THE LEBANESE FORMER PRIME MINISTER, LYNN STEWART'S CASE, HR 418,
AND THE UPCOMING IRANIAN WAR
We are living in strange times where those who claim to love Islam,
Allah, and Muhammad are everywhere. They have Muslims names. Often
times in
Arabic,
Urdu, Farsi, Swahili etc
. IN public they make Salat, Fast, and even
give some charity now and then. But what is in their hearts? That's
quite another matter. Who they really love or hate is something
concealed in hearts. Muslims Shia, Sunni, Sufi, and others need to
understand we don't have anyone but Allah and the true believers.
That's all we have left now in this nation.
Today the former Lebanese Prime Minister was assassinated. Who
assassinated him? And why ? Before u jump to conclusions, let us
see who has gained from such a killing. It is not ANY MUSLIM or ARAB or
AFRICAN
(Because the former Prime Minister did much for Africa) who gained
from his death. That is the central question. True he did advocate
the removal of
Syrian
troops, BUT that was hardly the need to kill him. In fact if Syria
would kill the former Prime Minister that would only inflame such
viewpoints further. THE MATTER IS MUCH DEEPER.
New Trend is read in Lebanon. So this writer says humbly and
respectfully, before Arabs begin to kill each other we ask that you
look more into the case.
Lynn Stewart's case was a JOKE to begin with. Was there any
doubt that she would be imprisoned? The detention, called-for
incarceration, and mocking of Lynn Stewart is a signal that ALL MUSLIMS
have now lost their rights in society. The case proves that even a
respected attorney like Barrister Stewart (WHO EVERY WOMEN IN AMERICA
SHOULD GIVE MEDALS TO FOR HER WORK IN THE 60'S) must live in fear for
only defending what is written in the constitution. As for the charges
she relayed information to extremists, we ask how is that different
from what other groups have done in the past? How is this different
FROM ALL THE TIMES KKK supporters moved information in and out of
courts ALL OVER THE SOUTH, during the Civil Rights movement (read To
Kill a Mockingbird) SURELY hundred of such message were relayed to
other for the killing and murder of Civil Rights activists all over
our nation. JUST LOOK AT WHAT IS GOING ON IN SAINT LOUIS. Why has the
KKK recently been buying bill board ads and radio time? YOU MEAN TO TELL
ME KKK operatives in the court didn't relay this information to White
Supremacists for them to carry on such activities? It is a FARCE. Who
does the Justice System think they are fooling. We will follow Sister
Stewart NO MATTER where or how she is jailed.
THE WAR MONGERS TALK ABOUT IRAN
It is clear now that America intends to bomb Iran. After a recent
trip out East, the topic was Iran. How bad Shias are, (it was only
one month ago when Shias were considered Moderates) How Shias are
evil Khomeini like, (Not the ones in the United States of course)
And the evil groups in Iraq have now won the election. Although some
are hailed as great freedom fighters, the majority are spoken of as
bizarre examples Iranian-Wanabies. (PLEASE BEAR IN MIND THAT THESE
ARE NOT MY WORDS BUT THOSE IN POSITIONS OF AUTHORITY). The talk around
coolers is one of "We must get those Iranians, they have always been
terrorist Supporters." And even disguised comments of
racism
towards any Shia Imam dressed in Black.
One only needs to remember what happened in Los Angeles back in 2002
when many many Iranians were lured to Immigration offices. Before
anyone knew what was happening they were detained, hosed, and in-prison.
SOME of them were U.S. citizens. It was only after months of arguments
that the matter was finally resolved. Now the question you must ask is,
If America cares about freedom in Iran, WHY DID IT NOT CARE ABOUT THE
FREEDOM OF THOSE DETAINED back IN 2001? Yes some of them were
illegal immigrants but is that reason enough to hose people down
with water? I ASK U to take a HARD look before you begin a new war.
And who will go to such wars?
It will not be those with connections to the U.S. government. It will
be the brown, the black, the red, and the poor white. WE need to just
say no. NO to war in the Muslim World, Latin World or anywhere else.

Mohurram 10, 1426: A non-sectarian look at Islamic history.
Martyrdom of Hussain ibn Ali: Lasting Symbol of Islamic Resistance to Tyranny.
Misled & Sold-out Leaders Create Shi'a-Sunni Conflict.
Historically, Hussain, r.a., belongs to Islam, not to a Sect:
Cooperation with U.S. a major Shia blunder
by Kaukab Siddique
In its essence, Islam is only the
Qur'an
and the verifiable, authentic example of Muhammad, pbuh, transmitted through
Hadith
Any objective scholar of the early Islamic era, the golden era,
would agree that strictly speaking, the decline of the Caliphate
[khilafat] began with the murder of 'Usman ibn Affan, r.a. The model
Islamic society, in its pristine purity can only be seen in the
life of the Prophet, pbuh, in Makka, in the Madinatun Nabi which he
ruled and in the Caliphate of Abu Bakr, 'Umar and 'Usman, Allah be
pleased with them.
Ali, r.a., a man of great piety and physical courage, was not
comparable as a leader with the Prophet, pbuh, or with Abu Bakr,
'Umar and Usman, r.a. With him the Caliphate was re-located from
Madinah
to Kufa and underwent a steep decline. He made major errors in
fighting hazrat 'Ayesha, r.a., carrying out a prolonged war with
Muawiyya, in spite of opposition by his own son, Hasan, r.a., and
finally fighting and killing his own people at Nehrwan, one of whom,
ibn Muljim, later assassinated him.
With Ameer Muawiyya, we enter the era of Kingship and the re-location
of the now deteriorating Caliphate to Damascus, though still a benign
and largely morally positive force.
Through his skillful leadership Muawiyya was able to keep the Muslims
united and internally peacefully. However, Muawiyya had opened the door
to Kingship and systematic attempts to foist hereditary rule on the
Muslim ummah. He used his power and influence to carry out a "vote"
[somewhat in the style of the U.S. in Iraq today] to make his son
Yazeed, King after his death.
It was during the time of Yazeed that the government crushed
internal dissent. Imam Hussain and his family were surrounded by a
large force of the King's men and slaughtered in the sands of Kerbala,
down to the last male, with the exception of one child. Their heads
were then paraded through the population centers to terrorize the
people. Thus the ultimate evil was born in the era of Kingship, the
murder of the beloved grandson of the Prophet, pbuh, Hussain, r.a.,
the son of a great sahabi, Ali, r.a., whose mother was Fatima, r.a.,
the beloved daughter of the Prophet, pbuh, the woman of Paradise,
the heart of his heart, who was present on the battlefields of
Islam and cleaned the bleeding wound of the Prophet, pbuh, on the
day of Uhud. For Muslims, a greater sorrow and a greater tragedy
cannot be imagined.
However, even greater than the tragedy of Kerbala is the fact
that Hussain, r.a., refused to bow before tyranny and Kingship.
He willingly gave his life, though CERTAIN THAT THERE WAS NO ESCAPE,
because he would not accept a regime which was not based on the Qur'an
and the Sunnah and which made the ruling family exempt from Islamic Law.
In his courage, Hussain, r.a., was like the defenders of Fallujah today
who would not surrender in front of overwhelming force. Thus the
sectarian categories do not apply if we look at the original example.
WHY DID WE MUSLIMS START FIGHTING EACH OTHER?
The leadership of both Sunnis and Shias is at fault and has been at
fault. Some of these leaders were simply ignorant and thus misled
their people. Others allowed themselves to be used by tyrants, and
still others worked for and cooperated with foreign powers, such as
the Shias of Iraq today.
SUNNI EXTREMISM IN OUR OWN TIMES:
Sunnis throughout history have tried to understand and sympathize
with the tragedy of Karbala. They tried to soothe the Shia sect by
saying that Ali, r.a., was the 4th Khalifa-e-rashid and he was as good
as Abu Bakr, 'Umar, and Usman, r.a. Sunni scholars unanimously
condemned Yazeed as accursed and profligate.
However, in our own times, with the victory of the revolution in Iran,
led by Imam Khomeini, may Allah fill his grave with light, the
Americans and their close allies, the Saudis, felt threatened.
The revolution made the Muslim masses everywhere feel a surge
of empowerment.
The Iranian people had shown that people's power, based on faith in
Allah and led by a God-fearing Imam could topple the most powerful King.
At American instigation, the Saudis funded their people in Muslim countries to produce books against Shias and particularly against Imam Khomeini. The Saudi Kings had been friends with the Shah of Iran who was also the "main man" of the Americans outside the Arab world.
Hence an attempt was made to produce quantities of literature to
legitimize the rule of Muawiyya and Yazeed, and indirectly of all
Kings including the Saudis. This kind of literature also found favor
with dictators who were only secularized versions of kings. Obscure
books like those of Mahmud Abbasi, which claim that the tragedy of
Kerbala was merely accidental and unimportant, were brought forth
in new guises and distributed in the form of tracts.
The claim was made that Hussain, r.a., had broken his oath of allegiance
to Yazeed and hence was a rebel who had to be crushed! Such shameful
claims gradually led to the accusation that perhaps Shias were not
even Muslims.
SHIA RESPONSE WAS AS DAMAGING AS THE SUNNI CLAIMS:
After the revolution in Iran, anti-revolutionary forces, seemingly
manipulated by the U.S., killed the main leadership of Islamic Iran.
In one night, 72 of Iran's new leadership were wiped out. The newly
elected prime minister was blown up in his own office. Thus a second
and third grade leadership was left in power. These were local
Iranian mullahs who had very little understanding of the Muslim
world which is 85% non-Shia. When Imam Khomeini urged them to distribute
the teachings of Islam, they started digging up old sectarian books,
getting them printed up in glossy format and shipping them by the
tons to every Muslim country.
The material thus distributed, which later still took the form of
tracts and polemics, was enough to destroy the Shi'a cause at its
own hands. Here are some samples of the poison in these Shi'a books,
now easily available. [May Allah forgive us for mentioning the garbage
in this propaganda. These are all fabrications which have been answered
in detail by Shah Waliullah, Maulana Maudoodi and many others.]
-
Only six Companions of the Prophet, pbuh, were loyal to Islam. The
rest were hypocrites.
-
Ali's, r.a., right to the Caliphate was usurped by Abu Bakr, Umar,
'Usman, r.a.
[In this kind of Shia literature, the Sahaba are never
honored by the letters r.a.]
-
Umar, r.a., the second Caliph of Islam, tried to break down the door
of the home of the Prophet's daughter, Fatima, r.a., and threatened
to set fire to it! As a result she had a miscarriage!
-
'Ayesha, r.a., rebelled against the rightful authority of Ali, r.a.
[I am too much afraid of Allah to mention the other things they say
against 'Ayesha, r.a.]
-
Muawiyya was appointed as governor of Syria by 'Umar, r.a. Yazeed
was Muawiyya's son, so 'Umar, r.a. is also to blame for what Yazeed
did. Abu Bakr, r.a., was 'Umar's friend, so he too should be blamed
for Yazeed's actions. And of course 'Usman, r.a. was related to
Muawiyya, so he too should be condemned.
[These Shias forget that Hasan, r.a., and Hussain, r.a.,
defended Usman', r.a with their swords.]
-
All the narrators of Hadith, such as Abu Huraira, r.a., should
be condemned.
[During Muawiyya's time, all the Muslims, including the sons of
Ali, r.a., and Abu Huraira, r.a., worked with Muawiyya because
Hasan, r.a., accepted the rule of Muawiyya.]
-
Abu Bakr, r.a., took away the garden of Fadak from Fatima, r.a.
-
Systematic and ritualistic self-flagellation and taking out of
processions about the martyrdom of Hussain, r.a. were presented as
Islamic endeavors although such behavior was condemned by the
Prophet Muhammad, pbuh, who considered displays of mourning as
part of paganism.
[Many Shias do not know that this ritualization of self-flagellation
and processions on Ashura were started by the autocratic sultan
named Muiz-ud-Dawla in the year 352 of the Hijra.
He also started the Shi'ite celebration Of Eid-e-Ghadir on the day of
the martyrdom of 'Usman, r.a., with the claim that at Ghadeer,
the Prophet, pbuh, had ordained the Caliphate for Ali, r.a.
These fabrications make many Muslims think that Shias are not
Muslims. In fact neither Ali, r.a., nor Hussain, r.a., nor ANY of
the great scholars whom the Shias consider their Imams, such as Baqir
and Jafar [may Allah exalt them] endorsed any of the eight points
given above. Even those of the early Shia Imams who considered Ali,
r.a., as superior to Abu Bakr, 'Umar and Usman, ra., did not say
that these three great men of Allah had usurped the Caliphate, and
they never insulted 'Ayesha, r.a.
IN MORE RECENT DAYS, the Shias have gone completely against the
teachings of Hussain ibn Ali, r.a.
Hussain would not accept even the tyranny of a Muslim ruler. Here we
have Sistani, Allawi, Chalabi cooperating with the American military
armada and participating in elections held under the protection of
American tanks. Iran made a strategic blunder by supporting American
sanctions against Iraq. Iran supported the U.S. against the Taliban,
was "neutral" about the Indians against the Kashmiris and the
Russians against the Chechens. It made much rhetorical noise in
support of the
Palestinians
but never really helped them. It even supported the U.S. "elections"
in Iraq, thinking that the fruits of Muslim suffering would fall into
its lap. With Sistani, Iran watched the destruction of Fallujah in
silence. Suddenly now Iran finds the result of its error of
cooperation, or masterly inactivity in the face of aggression
against Muslims. It is being threatened by those it sought to
befriend. Iran hated Saddam so much that it lost its original
direction which was anti-imperialist.
